What exactly is the function of his undroppable robe? What are its uses/effects ?

There are two robes: "sdnpcclk" and "sdnpccl2"
Both are undroppable. Only the description of the latter says what it actually does.
Both add +5 to Hide in Shadows, Detect Traps and Move Silently.
The first one makes him display the silence icon.
