My aim in the next five years is to raise strength and constitution to the max !

Wis: 9 (nothing special)
Chr: 3 (ugly and really anthipatic, and... well, you got your picture )

Seriously, anything above 15 is REALLY really rare. I'm talking of Einstein-rare here.

I agree that INT 17/18 is exceptionally rare.

Only a handful alive at the moment I'd venture! If that!

Surely 18 is getting towards 180?

Strength: Um, 14? (I once got told there's about one person in a million who can do a one-armed pull-up, although that's probably bollocks.)
Dexterity: 13? (I can do the splits, but I'm bloody clumsy.)
Constitution: 8? (I certainly get hurt more easily than most people.)
Intelligence: 15 (Based on the "divide by ten" principle, and taking the only proper IQ test I've done rather than the shitty internet ones that give you about 180 every time.)
Wisdom: 12 (A little bit above average. I've visited lots of countries, seen all sorts of things, but I am not CULTUREMAN.)
Charisma: 14? (Get on well with people, blah blah blah.)

Everybody thinks that Albert Einstein's IQ was very high, but this is definitly not the case, his adult IQ was just above 160. He was definitly a genius, but this was not primarily due to his IQ, but his amazing level on transcendental thinking. Transcendental (= raised, sublime) thinking means that he can raise his thinking (i.e. the paths it takes) above the ordinary level. Basically it means that he was extremely creative and imaginative. An IQ score is a combination of brainspeed and brainpower. You have a certain amount of time to take an IQ test, but if you don't mind the time and just make the test and take more time than allowed, you can score up to 30 points higher. So Albert Einstein's IQ was just above 160 (which is also very high) but he takes his time and he raises his thinking to an amazing level and then you can compare him to somebody with an IQ of 200. So Einstein had a lot of brainpower but his brainspeed compared to brainpower was low.

And its a facade.

IQ was a concept devised by a French teacher in the hey day of French Imperialism to measure the progression of mentally retarded kids.

Wanna know the latest one? EQ - Emotional Quota.

We laugh at it in the psychological field. Let me give you an example.

If I took an IQ test, written by a pgymy on how to survive in the jungle. I'd fail miserably.

Does that make me stupid? I hope not.

Then ask what is intelligence? How is it affeted by the environment or by memory. How perfect is memory? (very flawed for the record).

So, for all those that wanna award themselves supermarks for IQ tests. Be aware.

Its a concept, nothing more.

Definitely, and sort of. It's certainly of very limited use, and fraught with danger to have a high IQ. But it does measure skills that help get you jobs in a western society (not necessarily keep them though!) Lots of people don't like you because of it. This was true for me from school through to 28 now. Mainly grumpy old stupid people, but they are occassionally your boss!

Good for education though. In my final year of high-school, my class had 6 students, and it was a big school with 30 in the others, so we were really lucky.
We didn't sit at desks, we just sat in a semi-circle and talked.
English would start - 99% of the world are slaves... are you? Why?

IQ lost favour when combined with talk of eugenics, and racial differences. No one wanted to touch it seriously then. Not you you would prove anything even if Japanese people were +10 on average... still be huge variation. And would be idiotic to select humans on IQ basis!!

This is the best point, imo, and exposes the utter uselessness of high IQ.
What a crock. I could write an IQ test that asked:

"Which of the follow saw shapes is best for cutting a 4x2" and all the woodshop guys would've kicked my ass. 3 hexagons overlap 10 blah blah blah...
