True, true. NWN wasn't THAT bad though.

No, I did not mean that was bad. I really liked NWN. But, because of that too much hype, gamers expected the eighth world wonder. And, in truth, NWN proved to be a nice game, but not even by far the game "who would change the concept of role-playing", as Bioware previously said.

Hopefully, the hype can't affect the quality of the game itself, though. It could put pressure on the makers to finish the game faster, of course, but I sincerely hope they'll sooner keep everything about the project sikret till '07 than rush out something half-cooked. :/

DA doesn't have a publisher, so there's not so much pressure on Bioware to rush the game . That's a good thing.

we will have to wait. somewhat problematic is always if you have to make everything from scratch. so no rules or history you can count on (d&d or something similar).

Id heard it will have a toolkit for modding so fingers crossed it does and its not shite, if it does you can expect to see Dragon Age modding open to the public here

Modding tools will obviously sprang out if the engine is moddable. Bioware can help it if they make the specifications more open. I don't think they have to provide toolsets or such, if the engine is good and moddable, the tools will appear very soon. (1-2 months or less, now that we are prepared, heheh).

Yes, they had quite interesting personalities, but the fact that you could not control them at all was very disturbing.

Yep, even though NWN: SoU added henchmen inventory control, but that alone wasn't enough to make them as good as controllable NPCs.

Personally, I think this is really cool:

when combat begins, the camera can be switched to a top-down tactical view similar to that in Baldur's Gate.

The best of all CRPG Worlds! Mabye.

I'm very pleased to say that Bioware seem to have learnt that NPCs > henchmen big time . There will even be party-based combat .

The henchmen from NWN original campaign and HotU. Those from SoU sucked.
