Thanks for the help. I can see where I need to make a couple of changes already. I will have to do a full reinstall.

Make sure you read the BP readme to find out which parts of EoU are compatible and which are already included.

Is there a possibility to rescue a savegame from this installation and that it works with the correct installation you spoke about?
not entirely true but the time you will spend fixing it with NI you could have started a new game and be where you are now.
