With your 3cd version you didnt install any patches did you? (bg1 only patces bg2 still needs to be patched) You also didnt forget to edit the baldur.ini in your bg1 folder? All mods were also extracted to your bg2 folder right?

I used the BGTalesIntl5512.exe patch after installing BG1+datadisk, then i proceeded to install BG2+datadisk patched up with BGII-ThroneofBhaal_Patch_26498_ENGLISH.exe.

No, what should I edit in the BG1 folder? Run this down for me. Open baldur.ini and....

All mods are found within the BG2 folder yes.

with the 3 disc set of bg1 you do not need the patch for it. 1. Open baldur.ini in a word processor such as Notepad, and remove the following lines (here, E is the CD-ROM drive, but will correspond to your CD-ROM drive letter): CD1:=E:\CD1\; CD2:=E:\CD2\; CD3:=E:\CD3\; CD4:=E:\CD4\; CD5:=E:\CD5\; CD6:=E:\CD6\.

2. Failure to perform these steps can result in BGT ? WeiDU installation problems.

Here is an excellent thread on how to install all the stuff (well most of it) your wanting to install: http://www.shsforums...showtopic=22224

The only Baldur.ini was found in my BG II SoA directory and it contained this:

HD0:=D:\Games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\
CD1:=D:\Games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD1\
CD2:=D:\Games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD2\;D:\Games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD2\
CD3:=D:\Games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD3\
CD4:=D:\Games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD4\
CD5:=D:\Games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\CD5\

Removing theese caused the program to error up. Reinserting the lines made it run again. be back in around 4 hours, off to school.

You should have a baldur.ini in your bg1 directory also, if not then something went wrong with the install. You will probably have to start again. Make absolutely sure you do a full install (custom with all boxes checked) of BG1, TotSC (all together with 3 disc set), SoA, ToB and patch 26498. Do not edit the baldur.ini in your BG2 directory only the one in the bg1 directory. There is also a readme in the bgt directory in a subdirectory called install.

Redoing install. Please standby for further questions and querries....

Damn, this is more trouble than it is worth so far. -sigh-
I will double check on the BG1 install.

EDIT: interesting, my ToB install cannot proceed without one error. Apparently 25NpcSo.bif does not match the installs .cab file. Hmm, worked fine so far, I remember this error having no visible reprecussions on the game in the far past.

Thanks alot. It turned out that the baldur.ini was missing from my BG1 directory. Now, I reinstalled everything and it pretty much seems to work. Character import, looks fine in Candlekeep.

This is the mod list I use:

BGI + BGII + Expansion + Offical Patches
The BG2 Fixpack v2
Ascension-WeiDU-v1.4.21.exe *
Shadows Over Soubar Weidu v1.11
The Darkest Day v1.11
Check the Bodies Weidu v1.60 <------------ v1.8 and try to avoid installing Chores 1.60 I HAVE
Tortured Souls v6.09 (BP-BGT)
Region of Terror v2
Add RoTerror Fix 1 from the Region of Terror Forum
BGT v1.04
Sword Coast Stratagems (BGT) v4.3
Dark Side of the Sword Coast Weidu (for BGT) v1.85
Northern Tales of the Sword Coast Weidu (for BGT) v1.45
Ajoc's Minimod v16 *
Deeper Shadows of Amn 2.2 *
Freedom's Reign and Reign of Virtue (FR and ROV) Weidu v4.0 *
Lure of the Sirine's Call v7

* theese are the mods I have experienced that despite starting their install again, they keep repeating the same thing, so theese consider as not installed. Yep, I forgot to mention it previously, a second start only reprodues the same thing as the first one.

Also, unfinished Business I dared not install due to a certain area corruption when used in conjunction with BG Fixpack.
Is there a way to circumvent this? As i saw there was a link to the G3 site, but frankly, I did not udnerstand a word of what they said.

Another question: if I keep adding WeiDu mods like Bonehill, Un.Bussiness now, will they work? Also will they work with my current character started as a test? And from the above list what mods are considered OBLIGATORY for the wholest
-insert random positive adjective- etc. experience?

Also, CtB .08 I could find, would it work if I over install it on my current folder to cover 06? if it should not work, then i stick with 06 untill I finish BGT. Oh, and many thanks, and any suggestion is greatly apreciated.

They will, unless worldmap is not a issue in your installation.

Is your Dark side and north side WM6?? Where's the worldmap mod?

Yes, both are WM6 and it gives me the creeps, as once I entered Beregost I noticed two things:
-Will, the bard is nowhere to be found. I did enter during nighttime, but still...
-the kid who tells that his dad will give you the "belt" is also seemingly aethereal.

Oh yes, and I have no problem with the worldmap. I did skip on a few mods on that list, my bad.

So, is it safe to continuously improve this with BoneHill and Un.Bussiness later on? Or any other mod that I might think of (suggestions people, I want to get really into this. Perhaps write mod material...)?

EDIT: also, several times have I seen that you should skip a specific part of Unf.Bussiness 15 while installing. This strikes me as weird, as once the install starts, the DOSbox will list the actions and then finishes itself. This happened with the majority of the mods, so I took no notice of it as of now.

It would allow me to play UB15 without fear of area corruption, how do I choose what parts I am to install?

Quick fix: delete the setup-modname.exe for each one that you have marked above. Copy weidu.exe or any other setup-modname.exe and then rename it exactly like the ones that you just deleted and run the install again.

The things in UB that you should skip are "the kidnapping of boo" and "restored minor dialogues" the rest of the stuff is safe

But the question is, how can I even access what to install and whatnot when it comes to UB?

As I told you, it just packs out and thats it.

I stand steadfast in your debt. According to you, what should be my next step in broadening my BGT?

Btw, since I made some modifications and the aforementioned mods have been thus reinstalled/installed, is a new character creation necesasry to place them in function? Also, will Bonehill -once downloaded- require the same?
And what of the missing Will, the bard? Or is it that i simply could not find him? I would hate to find out that Dark and Northern SotSC would not work....

Get all your mods together, downloaded and extracted to your BG2 directory.

1. Maintain a clean install and make reinstalls go faster: http://www.shsforums...showtopic=22966

2. Mega install instructions and order of install: http://www.shsforums...showtopic=22224

3. More instructions: http://www.shsforums...showtopic=24471

Once you get it all organized, then start your install. If you have problems during the install stop where you are and ask questions before you continue so you dont have to start all over. Part of the fun of a mega install is the install itself IMHO.

Nothing as monstronous as the 180 mod, but I'm trying to increase mod to my current version, can someone comment on the list I have? The 1st post have my current list configuration.

The Improved Volcano! Pack for ToB
The Magnificient Magic Store
The Tortured Soul Quest
Turnip Golem Encounter

I believe most works, even the order, I rougely know where is which. The only thing I'm aint sure is that regarding:

1) Whats the order for NEJ, I saw the biff come 1st in a weidu log, the 180. but what does it do?

2) Is BG 1 NPC Project about Jaheria bug really that serious?

3) Have anyone try the Semi Multi with BGT

4) I remember a bug regarding Azen, but it's almost not mention in current ages

Thanks for answering.

Finally, if I install spell 50 before BPWeidu, will the game screw up?
