I think Viconia looks far too elated and romantic for my taste. Not evil at all :(

Something about Imoen strikes me as odd - can't put my finger on it. The face is nice, but I agree with EvaineDian that she looks a bit cross-eyed. If I cover the left half of the portrait, it looks like she's looking <-- that way, over her shoulder.

Viconia looks good, but the position might feel a bit jarring when everybody else is looking "out" at us.

Okay peeps, don't look at Viconia anymore. I will make an entirely new portrait for her.

Thanks for the feedback on Imoen tho!

Really? Could you be more precise, and if it is a bad thing or not?

I don't think it is necessarily a "good" or "bad" thing, after all, you are creating alternative portraits.

Ahh, I love the way you do hair! It looks so soft...

I've always imagined Imoen a lot paler, but it's a matter of personal taste I suppose. I love her expression, though, but her eyes are quite blue. They always seemed more gray than blue in the portrait...she's cuuute. Will there be a non-pink hair'd version?

Alrighty. Worked on face, neck, hair, eye, added scar, changed the base color of the top, plus zoomed in. Also made her skin a little lighter, and hair a little darker, I think - not sure how it turned out in the end. So far I think Imoen is my favourite of all these portraits - well, she is one of my favourite characters anyway. :)

The hair is 100% perfect. Her face is perhaps a little less round, and her eyes a less shocking blue, but the hair I think is perfect.

(Also I'm assuming that the clothes aren't done yet. They don't seem to match with your usual skill in outfits)

Hmm, no highlights, no shadowing, no details... Yep, they're done! ;)

Gotcha.

It looks uh, rather uh, like it needs uh, highlights shadowing and detail :D

Oh, wow, I'm really stunned by what you did to her face! It looks so real! Her right cheek (from our point of view on the left side of the picture) is just perfect! Immy's my favourite so far, too.

Some minor details: Maybe the other cheek needs a little adjustment to catch up with the perfect right cheek? It looks flat compared to the other one.
Also, the hair on the back of her head could be a bit more dynamic, it looks a bit like a helmet.
She isn't cross-eyed anymore, but I think the colours still don't match 100% - one is lighter than the other.

Just some little suggestions. She's really great. :)

And her neck is now good, too!

Whow! the face is really wonderful, different but wonderful, especially the eyes are teh greatness. ^^

There's a few things that keep drawing my attention though.
The neck, it seems somehow unnaturally thick, I think it's mostly the curve at the back of the neck, if possible, that's where it could be slightly more slender, maybe a tiny tiny bit on the front side too.
Of course that's just my feeling of it.

Hmm, the other thing, is the scar. It somehow doesn't quite look like a healed scar yet, a bit too much of a simple dark line there maybe.

I think the color of the scar is fine, but I just noticed that it seems the scar comes from the top to her eye at one point, but then begins at the bottom a small bit to the left(her right).

Ah you are learning, my young padawan.

Learning, perhaps. Improving? No.

I see. I just noticed it, and it caused me pause. Figured I would point it out.

anyways, despite what may seem like many many nitpicks I am liking it a lot.

But the smile, I love the smile. Like the hair. Just spectacular. Good to see her happy like this is.

So good show, Ilmy! And good luck finishing her, and the rest up.

Looking at the eye this close, the scar traces the skin very closely, meaning pretty much that for Imoen to still have an usable eye there, it had to be a fairly precise surface-cut (as opposed to the original slash that cuts her eyebrow quite deep but shallows somewhat as it comes down).

Well, point being, is a mere scratch worth noting in a portrait?

Aww, c'mon Ilmy take some critique! :D

In the original the cut shallows out at the top of the eye-socket, and begins again at the top of the lower eyelid, the eye could well have survived a careless cut like that.
With your version, the cut follows through the entire upper eyelid, and the way you draw it, it looks like a rather curved surface, which means... >>> refer to my original note on the matter.

^^

Damn, 1337 5k1llz. I feel so inadequate. ;_; Maybe I should try some of those performance enhancement pills they keep wanting to give me discounts on.

(...what, what do you mean they don't mean artistic performance? :o)

I think Legion is right about the scar, though. (Or should I say, Legion are right?) The original looks deep across the eyebrow but "fades out" like it just barely skipped over the eye, but this looks a little too close to leave it intact. If you end it just a little higher, so it doesn't go through the upper eyelid, I think it'll work better.

Heeeeyy you guys are right! I never really took a closer look at that scar! Thanks, both of you. I'll continue working on the scar, and I'll see what I can do.
