No, but I can. ;) And so far, all dialogues I've written and coded have compiled just fine.

Anyway, her very first PC talk is written and coded, a couple of banters with Korgan (yes, some BG2 work slipped in on a banana peel), and drafts of one Minsc, one Quayle and a few Kagain banters are coded as well. I've yet to check them in-game, though, since they're just that. Drafts.

My back still hurts from that... :(

I should also add that we've got some scenery dialog already underway, Lathander Temple near Beregost, the mines of Nashkel. I'm unsure how to properly describe Cloakwood Forest though. (Thinking the second area since the first one is still pretty much normal wilderness.)

Baldur's Gate we haven't touched on that yet, but I'm pretty sure that'll be somewhat easy. Gullykin is also another area I have no idea how to comment on. Any suggestions? T'would be most helpful. :)

We also have a banter draft with Ajantis upon entering Durlag's Tower.

I might add that progress will be a tad bit slower than I could originally hope. School is killing me - Swedish school system, I'm in year 9, which is last year of elementary school. That, of course, means that all our teachers hound us like crazy.

But little progress is better than none. :)

I bloody hate school.

Sorry, won't get much content underway until Winter break, which is 2-3 weeks away. I'm in the middle of a big bad examination period.

Okay, after 12 hours of non-stop coding I'm about to cry, and when I finally gave up (for now) and decided to try out what I've got so far in WeiDu it, of course, gave me a problem which I can't solve. Grand.

WeiDu complains against %BGT_VAR% horribly, and I think the fault lies in the tp2, which the Crossing the Great Divide tutorial (which makes my head spin) seems to confirm, but I don't know what, exactly, I'm doing wrong. A lot of stuff, probably. *sigh*

I'm giving up for tonight.. the last two hours I've just been bitching with WeiDu and it seems to enjoy making my life a pest.

Hopefully a bit of sleep will make me happier.

Yaaaaay! I've gotten her intro dialogue and her preliminary leave/rejoin dialogues to fire and work in-game! *does a little dance*

EDIT: Four hours later..

Whee! Some banters are up! (At least the Ajantis ones work in-game. I'm about to test the others.)

Now I'll be happy for a while. ^^

First leaving dialogue for RA5: Finished!
Second leaving dialogue for RA5: Finished!

Rejoin dialogue for RA5: Finished!

Intro dialogue for non-dwarves: Finished!
Intro dialogue for dwarves: VERY basic draft stage, but once I make myself writing it, it'll go fast.

Non-scripted banters with Ajantis: Finished!

Non-scripted banters with Branwen: One is finished.
Non-scripted banters with Coran: Two that are in draft stage.
Non-scripted banters with Edwin: Two, in draft stage (and one finished threeway banter between Alora, Edwin and Emmeline.)
Non-scripted banters with Eldoth: Two, in draft stage.
Non-scripted banters with Imoen: One, in rudimentary draft stage.
Non-scripted banters with Jaheira: One is finished.
Non-scripted banters with Kagain: Four in draft stage.
Non-scripted banters with Kivan: Three in draft stage.
Non-scripted banters with Minsc: One, which is in draft stage.
Non-scripted banters with Quayle: One which is.. SORT of finished.
Non-scripted banters with Shar-Teel: Two in draft stage.
Non-scripted banters with Viconia: Three in draft stage.

Scripted banters with Ajantis: Two in draft stage.
Sort of-scripted banters with Alora (and one of them with Edwin): Two (and all) are finished.

A couple of flirt drafts, some more finished than others, for both RA1 and RA2.

And.. well, that's it. That, and a lot of ideas swirling around in my head.

Ah, that's really great news. For someone who complains about Weidu so much, you sure seem to get a lot of work done. Good job. :) I'm looking forward to this.

Hehe, I guess I do complain a lot about WeiDU, but don't mind me - I only complain when it doesn't do as I say (and when it makes me bang my head against my keyboard repeatedly because of evil parse errors.)

The rest of the time, I don't mind it at all, and it is quite a lovely feeling to see things compile correctly (especially when WeiDU's been bitching for an eternity or two), and I just get this.. warm, cuddly feeling inside when I test things in-game and they actually work. The good parts of modding make up for the bad parts more than enough... so yeah, my whining is mostly bluster but no muster. :)

I'd also like to add that like half of what I've written so far in this thread has changed in some way, more or less. (For example, she'll form a friendship of sorts with a dwarf way before ToB, the kind of friendship which is "Alright, maybe you're not that bad after all, but I'd sooner die than admit that I actually consider you my friend and trust you.")

Hmm, since it's just been Christmas and all...

Emmeline: Hey, you? Jaheira, right?
Jaheira: Yes, child?
Emmeline: Oh, don't call me that. I'm probably three times older than you.
Jaheira: Yes, but since you are an elf, you mature slower. I am a woman grown.
Emmeline: (mutters to herself) Yes, that and the most acerbic mother hen I've ever come across...
Jaheira: Excuse me?
Emmeline: Excuse me?
Jaheira: Stop it.
Emmeline: (grin) Stop it.
Jaheira: I'm an annoying, immature child!
Emmeline: I fully agree. I am so glad to hear you admit that, Jaheira - accceptance is the first step to a change for the better!
Emmeline: (snicker) Relax! Loosen up a bit. And stop calling me child!
Jaheira: (She shakes her head disdainfully.) I'll cease calling you child when you cease to be one.

Thanks, guys!

She isn't DONE. What compiles is the following:

Four banters with Ajantis.
Five banters with Alora (two of them needs Edwin in the party.)
One banter with Branwen.
One banter with Edwin.
Four banters with Jaheira.
One banter with Quayle.
Two banters with Xan.

Intro dialogues.
Leave/Rejoin dialogues.

Three Necromancer dialogues (well, two of them are dialogues, the third has no PC options.)

A tiny bit of scripting.

And.. that's it. But more than I had when I started this thing. :)

Heh, you know, some would say that the NPC IS actually done... But it's great that you are more ambitious than that :>. Plus, you work/learn so fast that I guess we can prepare ourselves for the release anyway.

I wouldn't start preparing even for the alpha anytime soon, seeing how I can't keep my grubby little paws away from other projects, as well. :P

Right now I'm hating scripting.

IF
		InParty(Myself)
		!StateCheck(Myself,CD_STATE_NOTVALID)
		!StateCheck(Player1,CD_STATE_NOTVALID)
		Global("CCEmmeNecroReact","GLOBAL",0)
		Global("CCEmmeNecroCheck","GLOBAL",0)
		Kit(Player1,MAGESCHOOL_NECROMANCER)
		!See([ENEMY])
		CombatCounter(0)
THEN
	RESPONSE #100
		SetGlobalTimer("CCEmmeNecroReact","GLOBAL",3200)
		SetGlobal("CCEmmeNecroCheck","GLOBAL",1)
END

IF
		RealGlobalTimerExpired("CCEmmeNecroReact","GLOBAL")
		Global("CCEmmeNecroReact","GLOBAL",0)
THEN
	RESPONSE #100
		SetGlobal("CCEmmeNecroReact","GLOBAL",1)
END

But whywhywhy doesn't she initiate conversation when NecroReact is set to 1 (and I have to do it manually, at that. Bleh.)

You have to force-talk her. Same with her second reaction. And her third one. Whywhywhy? D:
