XP for killing Allies

Just wondering, should the XP awarded for killing allied Elves, Humans, etc be tweaked downwards? Logically they're a little easier to kill, but then again if you kill them you almost certainly will fail the whole map ; unless you are *very* lucky, you can turn the whole map hostile towards you, including the persons you have to protect...

Was thinking maybe halve or quarter the XP awarded for killing them? Admittedly, they are not much easier to kill than the enemy, and when they turn red you are probably in for a very very rough game...

Well, I haven't played the mod, but... It might be better to make the allies to be none-hostile, so their script/combat AI makes them neutral as long as the individual isn't hit by you again, after a small delay, unless you kill their leader or something. And the Xp award could be even minus small amount. This is all because of area effect spells etc.

That's a good idea :) I'll try to get that done.

If you want to have a vague idea about how Silmarillion will be like, please try out Sylmar Battlefield :) Still from Sylmar to Silmarillion is a long shot, indeed.

Oh and just to clarify, the Elves are as tough as the Orcs ; their AI does provide them some Advantages over Orcs even, although their squad arrangements may sometimes disadvantage them. The reason why they are logically easy to kill is because you can get good hits off them before they turn red...
