Another attempt at a different genre, though this one is based off one I did in an old band I used to be part of.

New one posted. It's called Leaving It All Behind. I'm very happy with it.

"Leaving It All Behind" is wonderful, it starts slow but then it becomes epic as the drums start playing at 1/4 of the song. I like how it becomes "stronger and stroger" as it plays, please excuse my lack of technical terms but I hope I managed to convey the message ;-)

I can't remember whether I had already commented "katalt.mp3 ", but it sounds great - especially after roughly... wow, 1/4 of the song. It seems that introducing more instruments at 1/4 of the song is part of your style - and that is good imo.

I never really paid much attention but now that I hear a couple of my songs, you seem to be right.

And I like Leaving it All Behind as well. It is one of my favorites I've done so far.

I've been having people asking me if I have a personal site with my music and I don't right now. I have the myspace, but a lot of people seem to hate myspace for one reason or another. *shrugs* Ah, well, can't please everyone.

Another awesome song Ace! Keep up the good work! There's nothing wrong with myspace as long as it's free. It's like the internet. It's not good or bad, it's the way you use it that determines it's "alignment" lol. I found it very usefull. One of the reasons is that i can be informed on the world of music and learn news from my fav artists! That includes you!

Although I have to agree with WeeR about being more an epic -before the apocalypse- theme than a battle song, it's really awesome!

But it does feel more like a tension buildup than an actual battle, it's not intense enough. .p

I think you do without a table, maybe try sorting text like this:

SONGTITLE WITH LINK added (insert date)
BLAH BLAH some comment about the song

SONGTITLE WITH LINK added (insert date)
BLAH BLAH some comment about the song

SONGTITLE WITH LINK added (insert date)
BLAH BLAH some comment about the song

Plus, when you post to let us know that you've posted a new track, you could put a link to the file in the same post - therefore poor lazy Epantiras is not forced to search the first post XD
...

About the new piece, it sounds good but lacks a bit of "personality"... I feel there's something missing

As for the song names, they really do not have much meaning to me personally as they are usually just the first word I put out that comes to mind, so it could be called "Pancreas 7" and I wouldn't mind. But yeah, in my head, I did picture a fight happening, specifically a small one, perhaps a duel, not so much full scale battles, though I guess it varies by setting, etc when it comes to battles. I've heard piano compositions for battles and I've heard full scale orchestras. I think this is a case where I'll have to agree to disagree, WeeR. (but that's okay! )

Epantiras, would you mind being a tiny bit more specific regarding what you think is missing? (Ace thinks it could have something to do with the fact that she made it in 30 minutes )

Hm. I suppose I tend to generally give titles a little more value; I think it speaks of intent, how close you've come to achieving that particular atmosphere.
Sure, you come up with names after you've finished a track, me too, but often that is affected by some form of an original concept or idea. @_@

NIce! Escape is very cool for a happy song... lol I can say i was really impressed by the piano one. Simple, yet so inspiring! I just wish it lasted longer! lol

Uhm, I think it's a bit too monotonous, maybe it needs more chorous-like sounds.

I like Escape it reminds me a little of the opening theme of Oblivion - just a little ;-)

On the other hand Piano 524 is soooo sad :,( sounds good too.
