[Ranadiel]

Hi everyone. This is a repost of my NPC information list. I had to repost it as I needed to split it up into more posts due to the image cap per message. It is going to be split up by BG1 & BG2 as before since mods generally don't cross between the two even if they are made for BGT. Below is an example of how I formatted this:


Name: (Character Name, preferably as it appears in the game)
Location: (Where the original source for the character places them. In cases of SoA/ToB characters only the SoA location is listed. Please note that there may be requirements to recruit them, so you may not always find them here to recruit.)

Includes Explanations
Character- The original character
Banters- The character has banters with other party members
Quests- Quests that require the character to be in the party for them to proceed
Custom Items- Items that can only be used by the NPC or a very limited number of character, such as the NPC and CHARNAME.
Romance- The NPC will romance someone. The NPC’s name or the required CHARNAME gender is included with the description.
Flirts- The NPC has flirt actions available with the PC.
Friendship- An official friendship path is available with the NPC. Please note that since the exact definition of a friendship path is sort of vague, I have only included them when they are officially recognized as such by the mod maker.

Here is a list of all mods that add NPCs to the game which have not been released. This list is split into four categories. The first category, "In Development", are mods which have yet to be released at all which appear to be currently have someone working on them. The next category, "ToB Expansion In Development", are mods which currently have a SoA component released, the mod owners have expressed a desire to do a ToB component, and it appears they are still working on the mod. The third category, "Appear to be Dead/In Development Hell", are for mods that have not been released at all and have not had any indication of development for the past year. This list is intended as somewhat of a companion piece to the BiG World Project.

I have only included English NPCs to help me maintain some semblance of sanity. If anyone wishes to translate this to another language, adding in NPCs for that language as you go, then you have my blessing to do as such. I tried to make the text as Replace friendly as possible, so I don’t think it would be too difficult to do.

I currently have, to the best of my knowledge, all information for all NPCs listed. If there is some information that I am unable to find, the list of such information will go in this post.

Finally, in case you couldn’t tell, this is a lot of information here. As such, I am sure that I have made at least a handful of mistakes. If you see any mistakes, then please post here with the corrected info. Additionally if a new version of a mod comes out which changes any of the info then please post all changes. Thanks I'm glad you like it. Although you might want to take a look through it again because you posted this when I was in the middle of adding in more pictures so it should ideally look more awesome now.

As a status update, of all the NPCs listed, I have all pictures except for 4. Tomorrow I plan to begin a slightly more aggressive attempt to complete all the missing information. I don't think I'm going to play my current install of BGT, so I'm going to start installing some of the mods I'm missing information on and then for others I'm going to start going to the mod's forums to ask for the information I'm missing. Hopefully this will help finish things up.

Okay thanks for all the info. I now have portraits for all the posted characters!

I do have a couple of questions about the stuff that you posted though. First off, are you sure that Bodhi in Tortured Souls is on the island? I thought that she joined during the guildwar, but I admit that I haven't actually tried that path before.-=Edit: Okay I just double checked and you were right on this.=-

For Compton's Bruce, Hessa, Kiara, and Kova you listed the location as (special condition), what exactly did you mean? My guess is that you meant that you have to CLUA them into the game, but I wanted to check before I put that down.-=Edit: With the exception of Kiara, I think I've found the locations for all these characters and pretty much all of them required some quest or other variable for I think I get what you mean. I know that Kiara requires a quest first, but the quest has to take you someplace.=-

Also could you rephrase the location for Neh'taniel? I'm not really sure what you meant by Forgotten temple in the canalisation....especially since canalisation apparently has to do with genetics. -=Edit: Okay apparently you meant the forgotten temple in the sewers.=-

-=Edit: Oh yeah I forgot to address your comment with regard to Coran and Dynaheir in Tortured Souls. I know that they are no longer present in the most recent versions, but the BP compatible version still has them. Besides that, they were available in Tortured Souls for a period of time, so I feel it is more complete to go ahead and include them.=-

Okay I think that I've done enough changes today to warrant a double post with a status update. I've gone ahead and updated all of the stuff that Leomar posted. Additionally I have added six new NPCs unrelated to what Leomar posted, I believe there have been a grand total of 11 new NPCs added today(two TS NPCs, the three from Leomar's post, and these six new ones). The names for the new NPCs are Kim, Rylorn, Matt Damon(I debated whether I should include this one), Worgas, Ajantis(BGII) and Taim. For those who don't want to double check Leomar's post the other five are Leina, Melora, Branwen(BGII, the second one), Rose, and Vildra.

I've also spent the majority of the morning tracking down missing information. I have managed to drop it down to the following:

Kiara(location)
Kim(location content for ToB?)
Matt Damon(location)
Rylorn(ToB content?)
Vildra(Location and ToB Content?)

Great news, I remembered how to look through the install files for mods. So I was able to find all of the missing information!

I also added Jandor, Eldoth(BGII), Roar, Teddy, and Octavian's Drizzt like I mentioned yesterday. I also added Accalia, Dar, Hrothgar, Shar-Teel(BGII), and Taffic from Never Ending Journey. I am presently unaware of any more BGII NPC mods.

Together, this basically makes the list completely up to date, at least to the best of my knowledge. Hurray!

Alright I fixed the typos that you pointed out.

With regards to a few of the changes that you mentioned, I intend for the location section to only list the area from the worldmap(or the dungeon if applicable). I suppose I could list the exact area and even go so far as to list the coordinates, but I personally feel that listing the worldmap area is enough(in the same manner as how I don't list every single quest available for the NPC). However I admit that listing conditions that have to completed before recruitment is probably a good idea, so I did go ahead and add those.

Additionally I clarified my meanign with a few of the areas for BG1 characters. As BG1 does not have names for all areas, I had been using the names given to those areas by the English version of either BGT or Worldmap. However I have added some clarification for anyone who might be using the list without those mods.

Now onto a couple of more specific items:

Artemis and Jarlaxle:
Yes you can recruit them, but you have to be evil as per the walkthrough written by the mod's author.

If you are of evil alignment you will get an option to join Jarlaxe and have Artemis and him in your party.

Ferthgil Trollslayer:
There is no requirement to make him show up. On your first entrence into the DSotSC Drow Caves he will be there on the first level.

Finch:
As per what I read, you meet her at first during the prelude in Candlekeep, but you can't recruit her until you meet her again in Beregost.

Viconia:
I have no first hand knowledge as I'm pretty sure I've always played the game with her in a different starting location, but according to the two BG1 NPC lists I could find, she is in Peldvale(or at the very least the area called Peldvale on the worldmap).
