I'm pursuing the SoS-specific details of my test game in the SoS forum. Just posting here to update overall install progress. When I have a streamlined install process worked out for SoS, I'll post it and continue installing and testing.
Thanks,
Eric

Between TDD and SoS, something has gone wrong. I'd like to know if there's a way to fix this, please, so the test game can continue.
Thanks,
Eric

What I would do is to use the console to 'teleport' Phaere to the temple and see if the game can proceed by talking to her, so use this:I may have hit another wall in my test game. The party is in Ust Natha, ready to talk with Matron Mother Ardulace in the temple. Phaere is supposed to meet us there, and introduce us, I believe. However, Phaere is in her own chamber, and Ardulace is in the temple. If I talk to Phaere,
CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("udphae01")

That's exactly what I needed, and wanted to do. Just didn't know the correct CLUA code for Phaere's .cre.
Thanks! I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

I may have hit another wall in my test game. The party is in Ust Natha, ready to talk with Matron Mother Ardulace in the temple. Phaere is supposed to meet us there, and introduce us, I believe. However, Phaere is in her own chamber, and Ardulace is in the temple. If I talk to Phaere, she delivers a line to introduce us, as though she was standing near Ardulace. I took the party to Ardulace, but when I clicked on her to talk to her, she asks who it is who dares to speak to her. So, there can be no conversation, and the party now can't get any farther in the storyline, I don't think.
Hi,Actually, I'm not sure this is in any way related to your mega. I don't run with anywhere near as big an installation as you, and I've had that bug occur as well. I've also had Saemon Havarian fail to spawn at the Vulgar Monkey. I think it's just an intermitent glitch.
These bugs also occur in the vanilla game when you leave an area BEFORE letting them (Phaere or Saemon) leaving the area (this is particularly easy if you have 6 boots of speed or such).
So, after having talked to Phaere (or Saemon) let them leave the area if they have to and you will never encounter this bug again.
Hope this helps.

When I returned to Phaere at the Female Fighter's Society, to give her the fake eggs, there were two of her (probably because I had to CLUA her in at the temple), but talking to her worked as normal. I've since proceeded with as straight-line an approach to the Underdark as possible, returned to the surface, spoke with Elhan, and arrived back in Athkatla (after an encounter along the way with Drizzt Do'Urden and his pals).
Now I'm following Shadows over Soubar, as I'm documenting in the How to start SoS? thread. (I hope that worked)
Thanks,
Eric
