With the errors i had will i encounter problems playing BG1?
I saw, at the beginning of this topic, that i'm not the first having problems with creature checker, BP 179 and so on, so i thought i could play BG1 waiting for a new version of BWP to come out.

I probably wouldn't even try, with those errors. I don't know what's up with the Creature offset checker, but I'd thought the BP thing was ironed out by BPv179a. The SCS dark-side kobolds has been reported over at it's forum, but DavidW hasn't gotten around to looking into it (I'd probably just use v13 until it gets fixed).

Trying a new Expert install with the newer Installpack 9.0.3, I just got the creature offset checker errors y'all got :D YAY!!! :coolthumb:

Ah well, started a separate thread to discuss (and hopefully kill) the issue :)

* NMR-BPv177 patch (which should actually be used with the old BPv177 ... but your BPv179 didn't install)

Creature offset checker: Guess this will be fixed; see extra thread

The BP thing: Should be posted in the BP forum or might be a problem of the fixpack. I do not test with BP AI, no idea if anybody else does it, so no idea if anybody except players finds the problem...
You also installed SCS. Could it be some sort of incompatibility between SCS and BP? (Might also explain the Kobold-stuff; I don't have it, not using BP AI; for another, maybe better explanation see below, maybe lacking SCS component ...).
BP Series: Lollorian already said what is relevant. Will be solved in next version (only in BP AI version; here it's a b it special, since BP simply did not install...)

Skie-Portrait: Also known issue; guess it's not important

@Golgoth: What components of SCS and SCSII did you install? Can you provide a weidu.log? Maybe components from SCS which are necessary for the Kobold-stuff were not installed?

I have SCS v13 and BP coexisting peacefully on my current install. Makes me think it is an issue that just came up in the v14 update.

Yet another question:
I play now BGII. I've traveled with many NPC's, but somehow most of them are not going to talk to me. "%name% - has nothing to tasy to you" appears. Even "usual" ones: Jaheira, Nalia. Only Moddie is always happy to have a chat. I wonder if it's ok?

I've got a freeze on a black screen in my 8.2 install. It is when I am leaving the Forest of Tethyr after leaving the Pocket Plane for the first time at the opening of Throne of Bhaal. Since it is early in ToB, can I copy off my saves, wipe it and do a 9.0 install and then import the Final Save from 8.2? Otherwise, I guess I need a CLUA code to jump from Tethyr to Watcher's Gate.

Version v9.0.3 (23 April 2010)
- Updated component numbers for "Jarls BGT Tweak Pack v1.4.1"
- Moved "Thrown Hammers" and "Item Pack" before "Item Revisions" global tweaks
- Now, the Install.bat installs BPSeries only if component 0 of Big Picture is installed
- Now, the Install.bat installs component 9000 of Aurora if Infinity Animations is not present
- Added installation of the Aurora v5.1 Patch
- Added German LANGUAGE for Hanna NPC
- Added Spanish LANGUAGE for Vampire Tales
- Removed BW Trimpack selection, because the Trimpack will be handled like the other mods

So, as seen, BP installed fine for me :devil:

The only thing that failed were the offset checker and SCS's Dark kobold sidecuts and stuff :P

I saw the recent discussion at PPG about the BWP overwriting the IDS files so I decided to delete the contents of the BWPFixpack/_ids/ folder and look at whatever PARSE ERRORs that were bound to pop up :)

And it looks like just TDD, Ninde and Xulaye showed parse errors (that are easily fixed by adding APPEND blocks before they compile their scripts :P) I'll have something in the fixes thread in a moment :cheers:

In game: Simply wait until the xp are adjusted. If you want to change classes etc., you have to start the mod itself via its setup ... exe and install all changes by choosing answers and then start a new game. (You'll find the file you might miss in one of the backup folders, use the windows search).

Ok thanks, i just wanted to know about class and kit changing: is it possible to make the changes after the BWP installation has ended or do i have to pause the install process manually at the point in which the mod is installed?

You can do that afterwards, but as I said, you might need some files which were biffed (and can therefore be found in the gen biff backup and copied into the override). This worked at least some months ago...

I've encountered this bug a few times. I simply loaded and accepted the character once more, the xp gain sript usually started after second-third try.

Well, actually the mod is an install time tool, not in game usable one, so if you wish to actually use the complete mod, not just the first few components you need to not install the last few mods in the BWP and do it that way, or adjust the BiG World Install.bat to include a premade insertion file(read the whole topic).

I'm doing another reinstall, but it looks like randomiser has not been really upgraded: I still get the message "The following mod(s) could not be downloaded: Item Randomiser v3.01: The Mod itself (randomiser-v3.exe)"

And then "If you got the file, please save as: randomiser-v3.exe": the new filename should be randomiser-v301.exe, shouldn't it?

BTW, have the bugs posted above

Bugs have been fixed, but are not in the Fixpack yet. Please wait some days. (Actually you could use the fixes from the Fixpack-thread, if you know what youi're doing).

Item Randomiser is not "officially" uploaded at G3, afair. If you have downloaded the new version feel free to use it.
