Hi, everyone. I'm new around here. :lol:

So I finally tried to play BG TOTSC and I want to install Dudleyfix. Thing is: I need aVENGER's Racial Traits and can't find it anywhere. Tried Google (didn't gave me download links) and the Search tool of the forum (it is not working right now) and I can't find it.

Anyone know where I can get this mod?

Thanks in advance.

It's a component from BG1 Unfinished Business.

Thanks, Daulmakan.

I'm a bit confused. Will Dudleyfix work correctly if I install that BG1UB mod? I searched the list of things that this mod patches and I couldn't find aVENGER's Racial Traits.

# Ice Island Level Two Restoration
# The Mysterious Vial
# Additional Elminster Encounter
# Angelo Notices Shar-teel
# Finishable Kagain Caravan Quest
# Coran and the Wyverns
# Kivan and Tazok
# Branwen and Tranzig
# Safana the Flirt
# Appropriate Albert and Rufie Reward
# Place Entar Silvershield in His Home
# Scar and the Sashenstar's Daughter
# Quoningar, the Cleric
# Shilo Chen and the Ogre-Magi
# Edie, the Merchant League Applicant
# Flaming Fist Mercenary Reinforcements
# Creature Corrections
# Creature Restorations
# Creature Name Restorations
# Minor Dialogue Restorations
# Audio Restorations
# Store, Tavern and Inn Fixes and Restorations
# Item Corrections and Restorations
# Area Corrections and Restorations
# Permanent Corpses
# Elven Charm & Sleep Racial Resistance
# The Original Saga Music Playlist Corrections
# Sarevok's Diary Corrections

You certainly have a lot more knowledge than me about this stuff, so I think you can answer my question. Is Dudleyfix the best "community fix patch" for BG1? I just want to install a pack that fixes bugs that the official patches didn't catch.

Thanks for your time.

That is it.

I'd say yes. There's a new BG1 Fixpack floating around by grogerson and a few others, but I don't think it's finished/officially out. I had Dudleyfixes installed back when I was playing vanilla BG1, and I didn't have installed this component by aVENGER, and I didn't run across any problems.

There's a tweakpack by Tioma (Tioma's Ease of Use IIRC), that worked for vanilla BG1, that you might find useful too.

I was a devout vanilla BG1 player until I gave Easytutu a try. I haven't wanted to go back ever since. Check it out.

Coincidently, I was reading about EasyTutu when I saw your post. I'm gonna do what you recommend.

I'll install Easytutu and TUTUFixPack18.

Thing is: for me to install Tutufixpack18, I need to install some Baldurdash patches.

"BEFORE INSTALLING THE FIXPACK, PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE INSTALLED THE APPROPRIATE
BALDURDASH FIXPACKS OVER BOTH YOUR BG1 AND BG2 INSTALLS BEFORE RUNNING THE TUTU
CONVERTOR. IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO, IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU DO, AND
SUBSEQUENTLY RUN THE CONVERSION AGAIN."

So, just tell me if I got this straight:

1 - Install BG ToTSC and its patches;
2 - Install BG ToB and its patches;
3 - Install Baldurdash's Baldur's Gate I/Tales Of The Sword Coast Bugfixes (FixPack v1.1 (2001 - July - 07);
4 - Install Baldurdash's Baldur's Gate II: Throne Of Bhaal Bugfixes (FixPack v1.12 (2001 - Sept. - 27);
5 - Install EasyTutu;
6 - Install TUTUFixPack18.

Is that correct?

Not exactly. Tutufix has some tweaks that are useful, but its fixes are outdated (in fact, its latest version will automatically skip them if Easytutu is installed). Easytutu already comes with all the relevant fixes needed (it adapts BG2 fixpack's, since Easytutu uses BG2 engine for BG1). And Baldurdash is not needed at all. So, you'd do steps 1 & 2 and then install Easytutu. And after that, any mods you feel like trying.

This page should prove useful for your Tutu experience. :)
