I am about to start a second play through as a dark sided jedi (sith). However I really do not want that Wookie that joins you if you are evil...Id much rather have Mira. Is there any way to get her to join your party with evil points? Or does even having any sort of evil points net you the wookie on your team?

If I have too, I can simply just pick neutral options till then...or if there are none...go light side for the first couple...then fire it up with all the evil choices right after I get Mira...

So basically I am wanting to know how evil can you be and still get Mira (if any evil) and if you are neutral can you still get her? Or must I be lightside for the first part of the game till I get her and then go evil the route? Thanks in advance if you know the answers I seek heh...

Well, the over all neutralty does give you Mira, but I would say that you cannot just take Neutral options as you don't have those... of course the faster you go to Narshadan(sp?) tha faster you get her, and easier it is to be still neutral.

In case the BG2 game crashes post the content of your baldur.err file. To get it to record stuff, open up the 'baldur.ini' in your game folder with Notepad, and under the [Program Options] section in the file, make a new line and type in 'Logging On=1' (without the '' quotes, unless the line is already there)... Save the file and exit. Now go back into the game and try to reproduce the crash. Then look in your game folder again for the Baldur.err file and open it with the Notepad to analyze its contents, or let us do it.

Try this.

Be wary, though, if you have other mods installed.

The only mod I have installed is the "TSL Restored Content Mod version 1.6" is it compatible with that mod at all do you know?

And yes I would be going to Nar Shada or however you spell it heh...right away! If that mod is not compatible guess Ill just go mostly neutral or light side options till I get Mira to be safe...

If you haven't already begun your new playthrough, consider updating to TSLRCM 1.7, or even waiting a bit for 1.8. Update 1.7 solves quite a few issues appearing with 1.6, but is not without issues itself.

I'd suggest browsing Deadly Stream Forums (the home of TSLRCM) before starting out.. http://deadlystream....forum/index.php

There are threads detailing which mods are compatible and which are not, as well as lots of other non-TSL Starwars related stuff. sorry if it seem I'm pushing them, but they've kept my playthroughs relatively bug-free for a while now.

Assuming that you've already got all of the official media update patches (movies/music) from here, I'd recommend the following mods in addition to TSLRCM 1.7:

Remote Tells Influence @ LucasFiles
Mira/Hanharr Choice Mod @ LucasFiles
Hide Weapons In Animations @ LucasFiles

These mods are compatible with TSLRCM 1.7, although Hide Weapons In Animations hasn't been officially tested (I've tested it though). You can see the full mod compatibility list for TSLRCM 1.7 here.

Note: You need to register to download TSLRCM.

No problem. And that Mira/Hanharr Choice Mod should work fine with any alignment, so feel free to increase your Dark Side points prior to that encounter.

While it isn't a proper response to the question that was asked, I just want to say that Hanharr is a really fascinating and handy companion for the Exile. I would go so far as to rank him in the top tier of KotOR squaddies for me. I really think you should try at least one game with him. He's tremendous.

I was not a real big fan of "Big Z" and wookies in general...but if you dont mind without giving huge spoilers or whatever...what makes him so tremendous? And if you just mean hes really good in combat...ill pass. Did fine without him the first game I am sure I can on the second...

EDIT : New Question (Since I dont want to make two topics) Is there any point to try and play the game as a neutral sided Jedi? I was thinking about that...but I assume you still have to make light / dark side choices in the really big quests or what not right?

I don't mean that he's really good in combat, though that is undoubtedly true - Hanharr's a beast who can soak it up like nobody's business and hits like a freight train.

No, I mean that's he an interesting character with a great presence. He's scary both in what he believes and in his appearance. You'll find him roaming restlessly about your ship and he still has chains on his hands. His story is very unsettling and having him around leads you to see some weird parallels with the Exile. Hanharr feels there is a certain kinship, but I'll go no further. Without trying to say too much, he provides an interesting take on those positive aspects of wookiees (honour, duty, life debts, etc.) in context of his warped nature.

I find him frightening but compelling. Your mileage may vary, but I think people are missing out by not doing at least one dark side playthrough, in large part due to Hanharr.

Hmmm allright you have me sold...He sounds a lot better and far more interesting then Big Z "Zomg you saved me from slavers I pledge my life to you!"

And one last question...I assume if you somehow get Mira to join your party while your dark sided you can make her a dark sided jedi as well right? Or does the game assume that if your dark sided you would not be able to get her...so they do not let you make her a jedi?

All characters that can become force adepts will follow the alignment of the Exile. If you're Sith, you won't have your polar opposite as a pupil. This is typically ensured by the way of the game making these characters remain relatively aligned towards your current status. If you're mean and glaring, they will be too; barring occasional minor bugs that sometimes occur with some versions. Once they're on side, that's it, corrupt them to your heart's content and they'll be all the happier about it.

Can't recall if they actually get called Sith though...

There's not really any difference worth noting; gameplay wise you miss out on the perks of both sides, yet you don't get harshly penalised either. It is still fairly linear however; neutral defaults to Light if I recall correctly, and you will inevitably make choices either direction. Not sure if they actually require you to go extreme, but later on they do acknowledge your somewhat lackluster willingness to pick a side. Take that for what you will. :)

Being neutral never seems to pay off in RPGs.

The only game I can think of that gives a decent edge to being neutral was "The Witcher" When you have the choice to side with the Elves or the Humans...you can say neither and it changes up the game a wee bit...Anyways thanks everyone for answering the questions and what not! I am certainly ready to play now on my 2nd play through as evil!

EDIT : New Question (Since I dont want to make two topics)

This topic was made by you, so it follows that you can do with it as you like...

What comes to the neutrality, it's a really bad thing that the game is made the way it is... as for the planet endings, there's no neutral sides, and if you pick a one dark decision, you end with the dark side ending with the Jedi council for example, as the whole thing is not up to any one thing, but the whole of it... my first game was ruined by this as the game seems way too linear. :o
