I'm curious if anyone is still interested in this mod and if it is worthy ressurection. That's what I'd like to know.

It would be great! Maybe the project could be reduced to the part that deals with original quests, making evil ways of solving the quest more fun and rewarding (e.g. In the copper coronet, when you kill Bernard, you should somehow have acess to his special stuff so you are not punished in missing a lot of items if you go the evil route).

I also think that it would be great.

As for the mod reducing - in my opinion it may be done. It could be divided into at least two parts.. But it is to consider it later. I'll wait for more replies to be sure that it is worth of work.

Would definitely be interested. One of BG2's biggest failures AFAIC is the lack of viability of the evil path.

i've been waiting on this mod for years now. i would personally like to see it finished just for the option of playing through the game as a truly vile character.

I'd love to see it finished as well. I loved Ariena, and Kido was interesting as well. Would love to play through the complete mod :)

Okay, I have been away for ages... but I am willing, if this time indeed a modder's team is formed, to redo the conversations.
I am sure people are aware that my storylines were my greatest asset and not the coding. ;)

Still modding the Mod for the Wicked... It is a big project you know... And I got sidetracked (several times) a bit... sorry.
However, as we all know, Evil never really sleeps.

Deathsangel, i don't even know if this is the proper place to ask, but could u add in your mod for the wicked a corrupted Anomen storyline? Would be wonderfull. In fact do u even think in instead of create a lot of new chars from nothing to just take some that already exist and corrupt them? After all this is the great bug on BG that i know, the fact the alignment don't hold ppl to their decisions, i can make a evil char and act as a paladin the entire game and i get no penality, and unseless i'm a paladin or a ranger the opposite is true to.

Only to suggest, Anomen and Aerie are the more likely characters to become evil due to their complex, vaylgar could be hardened in his hate for magic (and if Kindred is a NPC from this mod, i don't remember if he belong to mod for the wicked, well... what a combo!). These are my main sugestions, but to add 1 that need some reflection, well Keldorn could take his wife to death along with her lover to maintain law, and that can make some psychological consequences.

I'm not a coder, but i believe that change a existent char (especially a original one) can be a lot easier than make entire new ones.

You'd think that, but you'd be wrong. Not only would you have to create a plausible reason for them to change and write all new banters, quests, interjections, and romances for their new alignments, you would have to find a way to block all of their old material from firing.

All things considered, it's far, far easier to just create a brand new NPC than it is to undo and remake existing NPCs.

We can gather money on kickstarter - and put that broken drive in some pro company to get the data back. I think many peuple would donate, I would.

Well I'm looking back at mine, its all there still saved, so I am seeing if I can get my mod back on its feet. If you'd like to pool our assets Deathsangel let me know. They'd probably mesh well together. Certainly i'd like to do a banter or two at one point if nothing else :), wasn't going to say anything yet till i had a more solid version out but its coming along. You can find a bit about what I intended in the sig, but I stress i'm not announcing anything till I have a more workable version out.
