Why does BWP PDF say not to install Avatar Fixes?

I've been using the BWP PDF as an install order and compatibility guide for a manual install of selected mods. Normally, when it says not to install something, it has a note with a reason, so I can determine if I actually need to not install it, or if it's just saying that to maintain compatibility with a mod I have no interest in installing and I can go ahead if I like what that component does. The problem here is that the note provided for not installing Avatar fixes is:

"Requires component 101
Fully compatible with Item Revisions"

Which tells me nothing useful about why it's saying not to install it, and whether I should actually listen to its instructions or disregard them.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I'm new and it seemed like the most relevant one.

Well, because it's done ... actually. At page 219 in v13... and in page 201 in v14. Understand that the components are installed in the least buggy and most effective way, and that has things like installing separated components when it's best, not when all the other components are installed... this is partly way why the install process is best automated... so you don't have to scroll 400 pages of documentation to find the place you are now to be ...

but why are you asking it here and not in the Mega Mod Help forum ? After all the BWP has barely anything to do with the 1PP, while the Megamoding has everything to do with the PDF file.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Because I'm new, and stressed and confused by things in my life, and didn't know which forum to go to, so went to the first devoted forum for something that seemed directly related -- there wasn't a BWP-specific section of the mega mod forum, but there was a 1PP specific forum. Thank you for both the help and pointer to a more appropriate forum.

Sorry for missing the part where it said that mod was installed in two steps -- I noticed that for some others, but missed it here.

it wouldn't let me not install the palette extender, though, which I'm a tad concerned about since it said not to install that until the second step. And that actually is relevant here, since if it can cause conflicts if installed out of order, it should have an option to not install it, and it seemed to lack one.

(Apparently) The v14 comes with an mod index at the very end of the pdf... it has all the mods and at which pages it's installed... using that helps here. Again apparently... been away from reading that a bit long.
Erhm, I might have been a little ... all evil things come in small packages  ... over zealously reacting with my response... don't take it too personally, ... as in, there's no need to be sorry, yes, you are welcome and all.

I don't think you should be, as it happens, the Item Revision that has the smaller feature is already installed and this will overwrite it... there shouldn't be any compatibility error facts that I would see ...

So I'm supposed to install the Palette Extender in the first step (because I don't have an option not to), then reinstall it again where it says to after the Item Revision to overwrite it... or...? Hrm. Grabbing the fixpack and trimpack -- they're nominally for the BWP mega-mod installation, but they're apparently designed to detect which mods are present and adjust things for lesser mod installs. But now I'm drifting off-topic again.

Nope. Actually you won't be installing the Palate Extended in the first part(iow page 25), the PDF makes that clear (but you do so in the second part ... page 200).

There's the problem I was mentioning. I'm not supposed to install it in the first part, but when that component came up, I didn't get an option to not install -- just between compatibility install and full install. I'm hoping I either missed something in my last attempt (accidentally chose a prior option I shouldn't have without realizing it or something) or the fixpack or trimpack fixes this issue. If not, we're looking at an issue that needs to be addressed to improve (Mega) Mod compatibility.

Line 1674 in the BWP Install.bat from the v14.0.2 Installpack:

Call %INSTI% 1pp "105 106 111 113 201"

Component #105 is the Avatar Fixes if I understand right :P

So... umm... yeah, the BWP installs the avatar fixes  Probably a case of installer - guidebook segregation :D

BWP's pdf contains errors so I'd be careful when following all the step-by-step instructions. Also take note that 1PPv4 is bugged and the extended palettes probably aren't worth patching the exe file (curiously, compatibility option is still required for the other components and I haven't noticed any issues with that). I use ShadowKeeper for changing colors and they actually stick upon state loading, so I recommend this method.

I believe the safest way would be to manually install 1PPv2.70 components, as it's pretty much the same content (you won't be installing additional shield and helmet animations, anyway). You won't be missing much and your game will still remain compatible with Item Revisions.

Afaik IR comes with 1PPv2.70 per default.
