Hi, I have just recently got into BG/BGII modding, and have been in the process of picking and installing mods. Specifically, I'm interested in the BGT mod (which I have already downloaded and tested). As I was applying the G3 bugfixes mod, I noticed that one of the "cool but optional" changes requires Tobex, which I am unfamiliar with. I checked the Tobex page, which mentioned Tobex having issues with other mods that change the .EXE, with BGT being one of those mods. I was also interested in SCS, but that mod also seems to fall under Tobex's ".EXE modifying" category as well.

My question is this: will I be able to install Tobex and still be able to enjoy BGT? Or is Tobex really incompatible with BGT? How about SCS? Will that one interfere with Tobex as well?

Please excuse my unfamiliarity with BG modding in general; I haved owned the original BG disks for years but the only real modding I got around to was the widescreen mod. I've done quite a bit of reading up on BG modding, but have been unable to find any forums/posts that address this question in particular. Thanks in advance!

will I be able to install ...

Yes, just install the latest version of the ToBEx(this) and then the other mods in about this orders;

BG2:ToB,

The 4+1CD install required ToB patch,

TobEx,
BG2Fixpack,
BGT-weidu
...
SCS,
Widescreen mod,
Generalized Biffing(this helps to load the game faster when it's moded with large media content and SCS ).

The ... -sigh is there so you know where to install a lots of other mods, like the BG2Tweaks Packs... or you could just use the BWS to handle everything.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.
