Hey guys - I dont see Rukrakia NPC description here and she is marked as expert in BWS. Anyone can explain why is it so? :) Thank you in advance :)
Ah never mind I see that it overwrites Worldmap - Any fix for that avaiable? Cause I would like to play this mod very much :)

Seconded. Also BWS incorrectly states that Valen NPC among other things have romance ( holy Moly, interesting, but I'm not keen on romancing vampires [ except Selene from Underworld, of course  ] )...

Zyraen's Miscellany under BG2 Tweaks
This Mod improves some aspects in the gameplay of Baldur's Gate 2. Some components of the mod breaks the compatibility in megamods.
Need more information.  Which components are safe?

Uber Reaver kit is pretty much safe, played it without problems but it is disabled for selection of mod components ( enabled it manually )

Silver Star NPC under BG2 NPC-Related Mods

The evil elven assassin has crude and cruel dialogs. She has banters with NPCs from SoA, but not from ToB. You should always have Silver Star in your party if you install the mod, because if you don't do that, dialogues get scrumbled and it causes a faulty game.  Revised:  This evil elven assassin has crude and cruel dialogues. She has banters with NPCs from SoA, but not from ToB. She first appears in Irenicus' Dungeon.
Stable.  Roxanne reported successful play-through with NPC removed and added from party multiple times.  No sign of the issues described. Updated description.

Actually, I had experienced problems with her, dialogues checks get messy, many no valid responses and so on, but that was waay long time ago ( when mod first appeared and not in mega install ). But the funny thing is, mod version stayed the same. In this case I would still believed Roxanne's report although I will not install it...

To confirm - Valen has no romance contents.

I have written coded and testet crossmod contents in Sandrah NPC with Silver Star sucessfully, so my analysis of this mod has gone deeper than just a playthrough - I found no such issues (maybe you just had a bad installation back then for other reasons)

I'm sure of it, after all, that was a long time ago, but I was not the only one with the issues, worst things happened when I dismissed her and picked her up again ( gate district, if I am not mistaken?)...

Sorcerer's Place Item Collection under BG2 Stores & Items
This mod is a collection of several older items and spells. Instead of patching the files, the mod overwrites them. Therefore it could be a danger for megamods.
Keeping as Expert until someone reports the problems in the description are solved.

Maybe this will help, played with it before and no problems ( only with the item pack, without kits ):

Item Pack, by Creslyn
Creslyn created a number of items that originally replaced items sold by merchants scattered throughout the game. These items are now dynamically added to the respective stores without overwriting the original items. There are six items:

Juzam's Crutch, sold in the Lathander Temple
Joorg's Demise, sold by Joluv in the Copper Coronet
Ivory Ioun Stone, sold by Diedre in the Adventurer's Mart
Geirthan's Plate, sold by Diedre in the Adventurer's Mart
Freedom's Call, sold by Diedre in the Adventurer's Mart
Gorgon Staff, sold by the Duergar in the Underdark (but only to Drow, hint hint)

Version 2 - June 8, 2004

  • Added German translation, courtesy of Jester.
  • Changed to integer numbering system--future versions of the mod will be v3, v4, etc.
  • Fixed issues with the Archer of Sylvanus being able to use bows and arrows.
  • The items in Creslyn's Item Pack will now appear inline in a store's inventory rather than at the top.
  • Items in Creslyn's Item Pack will also detect kit components better and adjust accordingly

Maybe Silverstar isn't such a lost cause:

Re Silver Star:
A majority of the humongous list of interjections she has don't have InParty() checks for Star herself  :D Hence, everyone just assumes she's in your party and blabs like crazy

I'll try doing that in a while  :P

EDIT: Ok maybe I exaggerated  There were only 2 interjections that needed the check  :P (the others won't even start)
- the Clone one you got
- the interjection that happens in the Dryad Grove (in Chateau Irenicus)

Added a check for IsValidForPartyDialog("D#Silver") in both  Fix attached  :P
Attached Files

If indeed Silverstar in BWS has all that than it shouldn't be so broken like she was for me...

Thanks.  It has two item components -- Creslyn's and Daniel Goodrich's.  Did you use both?  It also has two spell pack components (Davoran's, Shadow Dragon's).  Didn't try?

Another problem -- the current BWS download link is http://www.shsforums...attach_id=28057 -- and that copy of the mod is incorrectly named SPItemsv11.txt (it should be .exe).  Does anyone have an alternate download link for the correctly named executable?

The file name in the link doesn't matter, the BWS can rename it after the download is over to end with a .exe ...

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

These are incompatible:

Creslyn's BG2 Custom Items (Submitted) 7kb Download In author's own words: Some of these items might be a little overpowered, but those are either hard to get (like Gorgon's Staff in the Illithid city) or expensive to buy if they're not hard to find (Geirthan's Plate is the most expensive item in the game - SoA that is). All of these are for BG2: SoA, but can be used in ToB also. Hope people like them.
NOTE: You'll need to use some TeamBG tools to install these.

ShadowDaemon's Custom Spells (Submitted) 8kb Download 4 nifty new spells for your enjoyment. The new spells are: Blood of the Martyr, Force of an Ancient God, Group Hug and Improved Magic Missile.
NOTE: You'll need to use some TeamBG tools to install them.

Davoran's Spell Pack #1 by ShadowDaemon (Submitted) 2kb Download Inspired by a message board string, the author created these spells in the name of one of his most comonly used D&D characters, The Crazy Conjurer Davoran Karsh. The pack includes two new spells.
NOTE: You'll need to use some TeamBG tools to install this.

Custom Items Collection by Daniel Goodrich (Submitted) 2.3MB Download This package contains a phenomenal new set of armor, some exceptional rings, a scimitar and some other items. This new version has been simplified so that no editing is required - you simply unzip the *.itm files to the override folder and the dialog.tlk file to the main game folder and play.
NOTE: This version is only compatible with the official version of BG2: SoA (no ToB

This one MAYBE is compatible:

SP Items by Rastor (Submitted) 337kb Download Daniel Goodrich's Collection, Creslyn's BG2 Item Pack (also contained in the collection above), Shadow Daemon's Spells and Davoran's Spells, available from the bottom of this page, repackaged into a modern WeiDU easy to use format. All content contained in this mod is exactly what the original authors intended, no changes have been made. It's also much smaller and easier to install than the original item/spell packs. Inside the compressed file is an executable. Once run, anyone installing this needs only to select their BG2 directory to unzip everything properly.

Definitely not use it with this one which is fully compatible : http://gibberlings3....ds&showfile=887

Can't guarantee for kits though, never used them.

Just seen them on BWS expert install, looks good, I can't really say are those spells overwrite some other with the same prefix, quite possible in the megamod. Also I would like to add that Revised  Forgotten Wars Item Pack was buggy like hell when I used it last time and  iiItem Mod caused CTD every time when I exited Irenicus dungeon to Promenade...

The SPItems mod is plain a overwriter - but it does the job it sets out to do I guess (it's like item/spell_rev but on a much smaller scale). You can move it to Maximized without much issue.

Thanks White Agnus!  Fixes are always welcome.

Hmm, looked through my fixed files, but I found a problem, how to implement it...

I think BWS will rename the Helarine_BGEE.tp2 to setup-JklHel.tp2, but if someone doesn't use BWS to install the mod, the fixes couldn't applied, if only BWFixpack is used.... (Any idea, how to handle this? :D)

I don't remember why it was done, but I think renaming can be disabled.

The file name in the link doesn't matter, the BWS can rename it after the download is over to end with a .exe ...

I don't see a problem here too, especially because until now BWS copes with installing this mod even without renaming the file.

I was confused by this, but now I see that if BWS doesn't recognize the file type it tries to use 7z to extract it, and that apparently works fine, so never mind.

Hmm, maybe, because the mod only could be installed through the "bgee_install_helarine_setup.bat" if the tp2 is not renamed? :D
Will push my changes to BWFixpack tommorow... ;)

Maybe the Fixpack change should apply to original tp2 file and BWS can rename it afterwards.

First post updated.  Two mods have moved out of Expert status:

Les Exiles de Lunargent under BG2 Quest Mods

This mod adds a new mysterious group of the exiles of Lunargent to the game. There are a lot of new encounter throughout the game in well-known but also in new places as long as you are of neutral alignment or bad. The mod starts when you meet a strange old man in the Irenicus dungeon.

Roxanne has reported successful install and initial encounters, but some timing issues because the mod is not aware of other content.  Micbaldur recently reported successful completion of the mod.

Helarine, Doomguide of Kelemvor under Smaller NPCs

Helarine, the Doomguide of Kelemvor NPC Cleric can be found in the Friendly Arm Inn. She has her own kit, friendship talk, plot-reactions and banters with some other NPCs.||Warning: Some players have reported infinite dialogue loops with this version.  Please check the mod link for latest information and inform the BWS team on SHSForums if a newer version is available.

Stable.  All known problems were patched by White Agnus.

Played long ago some stuff from Victor's improvments pack. Components 3 ( Faithful Rogue Kit for BGII, installed for that nifty sword, never played the kit), 4 ( Lich Slayer Scimitar, just another overpowered item [ which I liked a  lot ], ), 5 (  The Djin Merchant, another interesting item/shop mod ), 10 (  Special Encounters, it seems this component ads Shrek [ but not donkey ]  encounter somewhere around Watcher's keep, never saw it, don't understand why this component is under BG2 rules, tweaks and spells section) and 10 (  Grandpa's Shield quest, this component I played without problems on one of my SoA runs, it isn't even enabled in BWS because overwrites PALIN.CRE, a Tales of the Sword Coast file, it doesn't seems such big issue to me to just rename file in question by BWP fixpack or somesuch, but what do I know?  :) ) were installed on my computer without problems. Oh, and Burning man kit too, but never tried or tested it. There may or may not be some bugs with it, I just don't know. If anyone tries to use component 7 (  Romance Friendly Imprisonment ) which I wasn't, it would be good to add warning about Bigg's similar stuff.

EDIT: actually components are -1, didn't take 0 component in equation, and never liked maths
