I'm intrigued to know what unbalanced, insufficiently detailed, or somehow misplaced components you plan on fixing.

Yeh.

please to be explaining the mod a little TGM, Littiz? A FAQ perhaps?

I know they're doing HLA revision, Sim. :)

i beleive TGM is obsessed about balance (its not a bad thing, its just most of the times ive ever seen him post its been about balancing things) and if they finish this i imagine it will make ToB quite difficult... maybe not a bad thing at all.

I would like to see a FAQ or something though, which is probably what they are doing

I will wait for TGM to post more details since I've not much time right now.
Two quick things:
  • the first beta release should come out shortly enough, I'm close to package version 0.97. Yes, it will include an entirely rebuilt HLA system. Each class and *each kit* in the game will get its own, fitting (in our intentions at least) HLA table. It will also include a new playable kit which is very special and has absolutely unique (and "noble") features and HL abilities.
  • @Sim, about the last one I'll have a "support request" for you and your amazing Virtue Mod, know this now  Hope you will agree :)

Ever forward, my darling wind...

It is very interesting to see that UB didn't merge with bg2 refinements. But then again it covers a bit of a different field.

This is an idea I have been playing with for a long time. Both projects have similar faces, though there is a slight difference between them: while UB concentrates on mostly official things that were "left out" from the game by the creators, Refinements aims to create a bit different (and hopefully better!) gaming experience for the whole game by changing minor/major components of BG2.

Still, I'm not against any discussion about the possible collaboration between the two mods. We shall see ;) .
Just as I'm open to any collaboration with Lost Crossroads.

While I'm not opposed, and in fact will strive to accomplish compatibility between the BG2 Refinement mod and Unfinished Business, they are fundamentally different, as TGM has stated. UB attempts to restore things that never made it to the game. BG2 Refinements strives to reinvent existing concepts. Reinventing and restoring are not necessarily the same things. :)

So, best of luck, guys, and we'll try to keep things working as smoothly as possible between both mods.
