I'm waiting for it because it's a high-level mod, of which there aren't enough, IMO.

same here, also there is plenty of evil and evil is good for one thing, being trodden into the ground under my mighty heel ;)

Thought for the day: 'Wisdom is the beginning of fear'.
Power for the Keep, Power for the Zhentarim!

Defy me and die!

I look forward simply to see what people make of the more verbose PST style. Will they think the writing long-winded and boring, or will they enjoy the extra depth, options and replayability? Will they find each time through comes to a different outcome, or will they find that no matter what they choose, everything turns out the same? I'll be interested to see.

I think we're all fairly interested to see as well. You've definitely pushed that choice is more important in RtW than it was in the rest of the series, so I'm curious. Every dialogue always seemed to lead to one of only two options: Bodhi or Bayle; Underdark or Saemon; good or evil path. It'll be interesting to see other outcomes.

And it is the posts outlining your intent. Perhaps it's more your ideas as opposed to your writing that attracts attention. Though the few samples of your writing have been very good.

The only piece of writing I did for that was the Balthazar epilogues and having Bhodi joinable was my inspiration (of which Quitch wrote the wonderful dialog).

Regretably, I've never seen the Balthazar epilogue...he tends to die by my hand, or his own, far too often for that to have happened.

As the mod began, it became apparent quickly that I had better learn how to create new tilesets and areas. This was essential to the story (re-used areas look so bad in a mod... it distracts from the experience seeing places you have already been), so I had to become an area expert. They look like something right out of BG2, but are all new.

Essential for any respectable mod, definitely. I'm glad you didn't end up reusing areas. I think you were considering it a while back. It'll add a lot.

Argh!
You'd need a horde of littizs there

Well, luckily Summer 200X is still comfortably far

Somebody fire his ass.

Two quick entirely unrelated questions:

1. Are the Interplay boards down, or is my Internet Explorer being its usual spontaneous self?

2. I remember a group of people, most notably Cuv, were testing characters solo through Ascension. Was it doable with a pure class Cleric?

1. I heard on one of the other forums that Interplay had gone bankrupt.

2. I've done it with a Sorcerer, a Mage, an Assassin and a Fighter... but never got around to a pure class cleric. It should be do-able though, clerics have some sweet high level abilities.

Serves them right after releasing Lionheart.

The terrible attacks per round and lack of spells like Time Stop and Improved Alacrity make it seem damn near impossible though.

Definitely the dialogs and the storyline, I don`t think I`m going to play through it with a paladin, so the paladin-side of the quest doesn`t attract me that much. The rest, on the other hand.... *faints*

I'm not actually waiting, at least not in the same way I initially was. I do look in here every now and then (say, every 6 months) to see what is up. BG2 has vanished from my hard drive in an annual format long ago and I think I've been away from it long enough to reinstall it. I'll probably do it when RtW comes out. It should provide enough actual new story to make the game feel new.

Besides, I'm looking forwards to some high level combat with decent AI. BG2 still has my favorite rule system of all CRPGs and you guys are known for good AI.

P.S. I'm mildly amazed at the fact that you haven't abandoned it after all these years. Keep up the good work.
