Hi there, modders ! I had some observation about the druid class : using your new HLA pool, the druid can cast Nature's wrath and Volcano one after another. This could unbalance the game, because, together, they have a devastating effect : I mean not only Nature's wrath does a lot of damage but also entangles the foes. If the druid casts immediately Volcano, the party has nothing to do than sit and watch how the enemy is fried.
And it's not only about balance : with those two spells, the druid is calling to his help the power of the nature. I don't think he would be able to cast Volcano, for instance, while the effects of Nature's wrath are still active. It's like a mage summoning two planetars one after another, if you get my point.
What I suggest : that how long one of these spells is active, the druid should not be able to cast the other one.

Hmm, maybe I was a bit too fast about this. Right now we don't know how to make these two spells disable each other while in effect. Maybe later, if we come up with a solution. -_-

Yeap, that troubled me too, because I have never seen a similar situation throughout the game. But, if it is impossible, there is another possibility : choosing Nature's Wrath should exclude Volcano (like Spirit of Flame and Idol of Frost for the Sorcerers). Why ? Because those two spells are two different types of calling for nature's ultimate power. If the druid chooses one of them, he should not be able to choose the other one (grrr, I hate myself for that, I really liked to combine those two and fry hordes of foes).

Yes, this possibility was in my mind too Feanor. But excluding one of them would be a great nerf to this class, I don't think we should definitely go in that direction. What do you say Littiz?

Druids definitely needed a boost, and they got it by Nature's Wrath and Volcano. If I'm going to remove one of those, they WILL lose power. I'm not sure weather that would cripple them too much..

What if you combined the two into a 'Natrual Disaster' spell? When the spell is used it pops up a 'spell shield' like menu and the Druid gets to pick either Volcano *or* Nature's Wrath.

Eeeh.. I must say I don't really like this idea - very non-BG2.

it pops up a 'spell shield' like menu

You mean Spell Immunity, right? ;)

I say that I haven't even tried anything new to solve the problem.
Maybe a way exists.

But at the risk of repeting myself: I haven't time to work on this mod now.

Ever forward, my darling wind...

While I DO have time to work on it, I can't come up with a solution either - which means those two will remain untouched until we can work out something reasonable. :(
