Aye, I've seen it. I haven't really had a chance to check it out(though I've known of it for...quite a while now).

One of my goals is to make the familiars grow more powerful along with their owners. If i'm not mistaken, it is this way in PnP as well.

Lost Crossroads is supposed to be doing this. You'll have to read more into it, but I know that that is what it's supposed to be doing. ;)
