Not all, just the ones you meet later in SoA. Xan, 1 of my favorites, and a few others that don't show up as part of SoA or TDD will stay with you all the way to the start of BG2.

Hi,

This is the party members that will leave you at the transition to start TotSC. In my game I played with the PC as a cleric/mage, Imoen, Shar-Teel and Kagain. I felt quite cheated when the game wanted me to play through UB, Werewolf Island and Durlags Tower with only my PC and Imoen. In my opinion the "party leaving script" should be modified so it start when you returns to Belt after you have finished TotSC.

I guess there could be a reason for having it like it is now that I dont understand.

All of these NPC's are in Amn before you get there. So they leave to find other adventures.

My party consisted of Imoen, Dynaheir, Khalid, Jaheira and Kivan. Before going to Ulgoth's Beard and after talking to Belt, Kivan did leave because it was too dangerous, but the rest of the party members stayed behind. I suppose they stayed because BGII is supposed to start with those characters. So, not all NPCs leave before going to Ulgoth's. At any rate, when Kivan left I just CLUAed Minsc (he had an unfortunate... 'accident' at the Gnoll stronghold :^^: )

Let me explain the situation:

I kiled Sarevok (in the process Coran died), after killing him, the movie of his death plays and a message appears saying that I should go to report to the ducal palace. I rest in the Undercity and then go back to meet Belt. When he tells me to go to the Three Old KEgs to sleep, Coran leaves. Perhaps I shouldn't rest in the Undercity? I'll try it.


I am just having some trouble getting Belt to send me to the three old kegs. I just killed Sarevok and got a message to go to see Belt at the palace. When I go there, he sends me on the mission that starts out SOA. I've played the old non-WeiDU version of Big-Picture/BGT/NEJ etc... and Belt sent me to do the TotSC missions. But now he doesn't. I have looked at both the BELT.D file and the BELTBRD.D file, and I think I am missing a file in between there somewhere. I think that both of those files are running correctly, but the command to do the TotSC missions isn't in there. Ulgoth's Beard is on my map and I can travel there and everything seems normal there, I'm just wondering if the task of being sent there was taken from the Belt dialog and just made available without his sending me there.

Does anyone know?

I just found it on another thread. Turns out that you can start TotSC anytime after visiting the city of Baldur's Gate. TotSC was taken out of the Belt script. Don't talk to Belt until you are ready to proceed on to SoA.
