He'd never put up with it. I agree about pants, it's quite possible he wears them underneath the robe.
No shaving, yes, but the PC could still ask, and it could lead into one hell of an argument.
Oh dear God. Now I'm gonna have naughty thoughts about wizards' robes for a while...
EDIT: Since we're on the topic of flirting...I've been having this ghost of an idea flit through my mind off and on for quite a while now. It concerns a certain amorous Elf and a promise to curse anyone who got too close to the PC with an embarrassing/contagious intimate disease.
