After that installation i run NTotSC-Biff.bat and DSotSC-Biff.bat as described readmes. I get the following error when i try to install indir npc v7 IndiraNPC_v7_BGT.rar

ERROR locating resource for 'CHAIN3'
Resource [BJAHEIRA.DLG] not found in KEY file:
[./chitin.key]
ERROR: preprocessing APPEND_EARLY [indinpc/dialogue/indi.d]: Failure("resource [BJAHEIRA.DLG] not found for 'CHAIN3'")
Stopping installation because of error.

ERROR Installing [Indira NPC for BG1Tutu], rolling back to previous state
[IndiNPC/Backup/0/UNSETSTR.0] SET_STRING uninstall info not found

Is there anything wrong?

That would be because the banter file is actually "BJAHEIR". There is no "A" at the end.

So replacing BJAHEIRA.DLG with BJAHEIR.DLG in tp2 file will solve problem right?

You can check there but I suspect the error is in Indira's D file. Open that with Notepad, and search for BJAHEIRA or ~BJAHEIRA~ and remove the A in each one.

which D file? The files under the Dialogue folder? There are three d files there. indi.d indiJ.d and murnethbanter.d which one do i need to modify?

In the indi.d file there is lines like that

and the problem solved. And you need to save in the plain text format otherwise you will get another errors.

Correct, this is a text file so it has to be saved that way.

I thought I fixed that issue, unless I uploaded the wrong copy of Indira. That really is annoying.

Jaheira, Viconia, and Dynaheir do not use the same dialog namings between BGT and Tutu. Everyone else is just a simple "_" in front for Tutu. I noticed that. It was one of the 'textbook' changes I overlooked in an earlier version of the Tutu2BGT converter utility that I used to convert IndiraNPC. I did a Notepad change and introduced the typo, then I found out and attempted to fix it, but somehow it managed to sneak through the veiled curtain.

Maybe a stupid comment just my thoughts. Why dont merging mods instead making them compatible. In short period this maybe time consuming but on the long term it will save you a lot of time and will be more user friendly. It will be easier to track bugs and handle the variables.

Unfortunately, there is no The Elder Scrolls: Construction Set (TES:CS) to merge your plugins for you, and that doesn't work too well either!

Unfortunately, there are several mod developers out there that can't stand the idea of someone else touching their work (I have to assume they have never had a professional publishing company review their work, even Stephen King said most of his books have been slightly edited by others).

I have one small mod I have asked the owner to allow me to update and the answer was "let me think about it". That was several months ago. Needless to say, if you aren't willing to update your work or accept someone else to do it, your mod is dead on arrival. If I refused to update DS/NT or BoneHill for BGT-Weidu, you would only be able to play them on BGT-BP. Not many players are still using that platform.

Just something for the rest of you to think about: If you plan on joining into the mod making, please be open to others wanting to modify your work or at least make it work in environments you had never thought about.

Just my 2 cents.

@2005 (copywrite) only works with registered trademarks or patents, just because I put a @2005, or anything else to that effect, in my mod dont mean its "legally" copywrited. If i am correct we cant actually copy write mods because the game is registered and owned by Bioware. If they wanted to they could tell us to stop distributing mods.

If you have a problem installing Indira NPC, please post here. If you like to start talking about copyright, please don't do it in this topic, nor the BGT-WeiDU forum. BGT-WeiDU does not mention copyright at all, and will have no part in what is being discussed. Polite warning. :mellow:
