I recall once saying in this thread that Ele'ena hasn't changed, well, I guess it's time to revoke that.

Seems she's gone far from being spirited West Harbor warlock girl into a slightly more introverted version of herself, more on the loner's path. (And that is never nice I can assure you.)

Still a bit.. more on the withdraw first idea though so she's redeemed.

And as far as the Githyanki go, they hate everybody anyway, all are 'inferior' so yeah - may as well treat them the same as the illithid mind flayers methinks.
Haha, but at least the humor of the old man lightens such a discussion.

And yes, if I wasn't so jealous, I'd say Mr Black in Armor is definetely a good match for the lovable tiefling, Neeshka.

Anyway loved the new chapter greatly Orthodoxia. And I'd say that plot has come back.

Hey Orthodoxia! I've just been playing catch-up, but the last few chapters have been very amusing and very interesting... the revelations about the Silver Shards was done really well, and I especially loved the character Khai. He was both scary, smooth, and amusing... the character interaction between him and Ele'ena was great. . More please

Solar - Change doesn't have to be good. Ele'ena had already shown her tendency to run away from things, she doesn't delude herself but she doesn't confront the matters either. Shadowhawke - Good to see you back and thank you. I'm glad you like my *cough*Hero of Neverwinter*cough* I was worried how he would fit in . I get feeling that I've rushed the last few chapters, probably because I'm loosing interest but there are two more chapters to go and I'll see them through.

Wow! Awesome to have you writing again, Orthodoxia . Although the chapter seemed a bit disjointed, I really enjoyed reading about Ele'ena again. The droll humour was done very nicely, as always. Neeshka's interaction was also very interesting. Thanks again for the chapter, and you know that we'd love to read more. .

And it's great to be writing again And I know it's disjointed It's what happens when after months of lack of inspiration you manage to write the chapter, loose the chapter due to system crash and have to start from scratch again But I keep telling myself, "One more chapter girl. Just one more and it'll all be over."

Thanks for the lovely review and tune in next week for the last chapter (unless inspiration suddenly hits me and demands more )

I'm with Shadowhawke once more on the chapter rating. Though it does have a bit of subtle fluidity amongst the apparant disjointed sequences if you ask me. The opening in particular, and the scene with Khai and Aarin were entrancing right from the start.

The display of characters - both in flaws and qualities, shines as bright as ever Orthodoxia, especially with Ele'ena, so I'd say despite that rather unfortunate set of circumstances prior to release, it was well worth it.

Tsk, and a shame for the Water Elemental phobia - guess they'll be having no fun with the blue elf for a time.

Khai is one of my favorite creations and I myself am amazed that I could write him at all, psychotic bastard as he is, and Aarin was a man who simply did not wish to be free from his duty to Neverwinter (at one point). And Ele'ena is, well still hiding behind the bar

Well, the Water Elementals might not have fun with the blue elf but the blue elf will have a lot of fun with them once she attracts the spirit-curse and starts eating them Payback!

Poor Ele'ena, you'd think by this point they'd allow a vacation from the action and stress/breakdowns of bad news, but oh no!

A nice way to finish Act 1 Orthodoxia, especially with Bishop (bastard that he is ) closing it very simply to the poor blue elf.

A heartfelt and goes out to her, and what the hell: have a free Doxia, you've more than earned it for this superb chapter.

Ele'ena will never get a break. It's a roller coaster ride form here onwards for her that includes dreaded Water Elementals

Thanks Solar and I'm glad that you enjoyed it I've wanted to finish this for so long. I'll probably replay the game to see if any inspiration can be found. For the moment, I've already got the first five chapters of "Hungry Dreams", the MotB sequel out on FF.net but I'm not certain if I should post it here or just point in the right direction.
