Is this a bug or is it a part of a mod?

In any case will I be able to find them again if its part of a mod?

I have huge problems in asylum dungeon lvl 1 since I have no items and cannot hit for instance the golem.

Afaik, Big Picture and SCS2 both can do a thing like that.Part of a mod, if you have them installed, otherwise no idea.

Retired from modding.

could be improved spellhold component...i think. you find them in irenicus' chambers...
either way, try the magic weapon spell...you should be able to summon a +3 hammer or mace or sth along this lines...

It's not a bug whatsoever, with either mod:
- If you have BP installed, it purposely removes party items, and is mostly nice about giving most of them back.
- If you have installed the relevant SCS2 component, it is very nice about giving everything back.

But--In both cases--not until all the Spellhold adventures are complete.

There are some tactics to handle this, to make the Maze more challenging. One, the Enchant Weapon spell, is vital.

One thing that has caught me out once before is that, when Yoshimo leaves party, he'll dump most of his items in your inventory. If your slots are full, some of your items will get displaced and fall to the ground. Of course, this happens when you're in the glass jar, so there is absolutely no way to get them back (other than just shadowkeeper them in, of course). Rather annoying and worth bearing in mind if you have Yoshimo as a companion.

I don't remember this happening using Big Picture (although it's been a long time since that chapter), and I believe it did not occur using SCS's component. I think BP should use DavidW's item inventory code to handle this problem, it is more comprehensive.

No, that can happen in the vanilla game. It doesn't sound like it's the problem in this case, but it's something to look out for, for anyone else.
