Edwin became Edwina using the nether scroll but now every time I try to rest there is a crash to desktop. I am sure that he/she is causing the problem because it appeared exactly after he transformed, and once I remove him from the party I can rest normally. I suspect that maybe this is caused by a conversation with him/her that should start before resting but something doesn't initialize properly. Can someone please help me solve this problem because I wouldn't like to lose Edwin, he is an essential in my party. Here is my weidu log:

Sorry for the late response and that I can give you an advice only at the moment, but I've much to do with the BWP at all. Can you look in the Edwin forum, if this problem was reported there?

I've seen that you reported your problem at the Edwin forum, too. So we'll try to help you there. :)

Yes I started it there thanks to your suggestion, and I see that this is a old problem related to Edwin. I hope that somebody will show up and help solve this problem forever.

After the Nether scroll transformation did he/she say "This is bad"? If not try the force talk approach. It works for a lot of NPC's when a dialog should fire but does not. Usually they will say their dialog when under normal circumstances they would have nothing to say.

Yea he/she said "This is bad" and didn't move until I used the force talk approach, but after that I could walk normally with him in my party, but the problem appears when I am trying to rest.

And is there not any workaround?

Rest anywhere or can you rest in inns but not outside? I think it's a dialogue problem, maybe some NPC mod that is trying to talk with him and can't when he is a she.

Yes I can rest in inns but not outside and I also think this is most likely a dialogue that doesn't initialize correctly.

Is our beloved Edwina a different creature file (or death variable?) than the Edwins? If so than I would lean towards what Chev said.

Who else is in your party?

Wow... I am at a loss.

The only thing I can suggest to try is summon the dude that exposes Edwin in this quest, just to complete the quest and see if it clears up the CTD.

DEGARD is the code and there are two encounters.

No the crash still happens even after I summon Degard two times and Edwina becomes Edwin again :( . I also tried removing all the party members and then try to rest but still the CTD occurs.

Edit: It also seems that I am not the only one with this unsolved quite annoying problem :( http://www.shsforums...mp;#entry438677

It seems somebody in the edwin romance subforum found the problem. I am afraid to check not to ruin my whole installation though.

BG2 tweak pack to blame

finally I turned off the "more interjections" in that mod, it worked correct now. Hope u the same luck
