When i opened the BWP, at the beginning there was a list of all mods according to type (standard, tactical, etc) and when i clicked anyone a small text with some info on the mod would appear. it was very helpful. If i open BWP again, can i use it for info on the mods i have already selected and then close it, or will it mess with my installation (which apart from 2-3 not repeated so far breakdowns - works fine)?

Is the portal below from one of the mods? I don't remember it from the original BG2.

My name is Thomas Hockenberry, Ph.D., and I think the "Ph.D." stands for "Pouring His Draft."

Never Ending Journey I think. In which case that's pretty much a portal to Icewind Dale.

You can open up the setup and review your choices, but be careful not to go too far or it'll start installing again, which would be bad. You're better off reading the pdf that's in your big world download folder. That has a lot more information about the mods than the setup program anyway.

Never Ending Journey I think, if that's Chateau Irenicus.

No, the NeJ used the old portal at near the cages at the very beginning, this:

Well, when i find out i will tell you. You know, i just realized the biggest problem with megamod installations; you have to have in mind all the different mods, otherwise you may ruin them or miss them outright.

Hmm, you're right. I had a feeling it wasn't where I was expecting it to be for NEJ, but I thought they might have moved it. How many portals can there be in Chateau Irenicus?

Apparently quite a few.

Maybe this one? "Azengaard Tactical Encounter - behind a portal in Irenicus hideout a mysterious faction known as
the Time Guardians has a challenge for the child of Bhaal."

We'll see. :)

In the meantime, WTF! :woot: I activated the sewage golem and was attacking the otyughs, when out of the blue a beholder materialized behind me and zapped me to death!

A Megamod does not mean that you can play all of the mods or all of their content,
but you have more choices or paths through the game.

This is for all Megamodders

I agree, but what about the beholder? Which mod did it come from? I mean, a beholder in Irenicus dungeon without magical stuff is impossible to defeat. I hope it will not appear again. :crying:

Not sure which mod added it, are you using the Tactics version? It is tough! You might change your difficulty level.

Yes, i am. I thought there was improved Illych, not general improvements in the whole of the dungeon. It will really be difficult to get out of here, for i don't want to lower difficulty level from Core rules. Anyway, i have played BG2 so many times that i don't mind going slowly and quick-loading many times. At least it feels now more of a dungeon built by an archmage level wizard, as Irenicus should be and not the walk-in-the-park that it was in the original.

Ah, it is very interesting! These are not otyughs, but greater otyughs. One of them summoned the beholder. I don't mind toughness, but this is silly. The modmaker should know that it isn't possible for otyughs - lesser or greater or lifeeaters - to summon!

EDIT: FOUND IT! It's in an untraified part of Revised Battles (the .tp2) :P Here's the support topic, go get 'em :D

I have a hunch. Do you have component 8 of Improved Summons installed?

That would be: 8 [Replace Carrion Summons with Summon Beholder]?

Calling some carrion crawler pals is a lot more reasonable for an Otyugh than bringing in a Beholder.

Your hunch is correct. :)
Yet at the same time it is (for me at the least) no more reasonable for any kind of an otyugh to summon anything. This specific monster doesn't have spellcasting abilities.

Not a spell casting one, no, but an animalistic/natural yes(when it comes to carrion growler, not beholder).

You are correct. It is Azengaard.
