Those demos are pretty fantastic.... but I really wanted to gag that female E3 host!!

Okay, so now's the time to admit I've gone through a full PC upgrade cycle simply to push Assassins of Kings and Skyrim around at full detail.... <cheesy grin>

Personally I'm not inclined to buy a new computer yet, and I'd rather not upgrade until I can buy a completely new rig. It's not really worth it to upgrade this aging gaming rig. The only parts I'll eventually be able to recycle for my new rig are my sound card, dvd burner, and headphones. I'll probably go for a Windows 8 system when I do.

Also, Bethesda was hacked.

Yeah, I concur. On the other hand, I'm still stuck with my aging computer and DX9, so their optimizations for it aren't a complete waste for me.

DLC: The less is more approach @ IGN

It sure looks beautiful, but I'm not sure I'd enjoy it. It looks like it lacks guidance, and in a game that big, I need guidance. They mentioned story, but will it be enough? Because of Bioware, I sort of see companions as a must in an RPG. I need to care about what I'm doing, or who I'm doing it for. On the otherhand, it looks immensely detailed. I suppose I'll just wait and see, but seeing so many people get excited over it definitely makes me want to get into it. I love getting excited over games, little nerd that I am
