Hello.
I've been having this bug since yesterday, and so, I uninstalled BG2 and everything in it's folder and installed again and all the mods, except the ones that I thought might have been the culprit, but this still keeps happening.

Well, thing is, Irenicus comes, experiments on me with spells, then the golem comes, and they go away, an intruder enters and dies and then I'm just there, stuck, waiting for Imoen to appear...
I've already searched for solutions to my problem, and to my surprise, there was someone with the same problem, but the fix that was provided there, sadly, didn't work for me.
So I've come here, as a last resort... it might even be an easy fix, but since I'm no programmer and don't have much knowledge about troubleshooting, it's hard for me.

Here's my WeiDu list of mods:

You did clean up the game folder after the uninstall of the game so the old files can't interfere with the new ones ?
Also, erhm, you have more than one megamod, why not use the BWP tools like the BiG World Setup ? Or at least the BWP Fixpack and a few other files... so the megamods at least can dance nicely.

Of course those won't work on non-PC Operation Systems so... ouh, and were have you installed the game to ? Just making sure.

Yep, Jarno Mikkola. my Mega Mod FAQ. Use of the BWS, and how to use it(scroll down that post a bit).
OK, desert dweller, welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand. Ouh, actually it was still snow then.. but anyways.

Does the subrace mod interfere with the starting cutscene in any way? (I remember someone saying it had some kind of menu popping up at the start?)

Yeah, I cleaned it properly.

Well, I was planning on using BWP, but it all seemed so confusing... then again, I might give it a better look

"C:/Program Files (x86)/Baldurs Gate II" That's where I have mine, but I don't think this has anything to do with that??

Not really a menu, it's on the part of the conversation, a list of choices appear and I chose the one I wanted and then Irenicus comes and bla bla, but no signal of Imoen... D:

Can that have anything to do with that?

Well, next time make sure that you install the game to non-Windows Protected folder, like say C:/Games/BGII - SoA/ ... PS, that's just a suggestion...

So I take it that Imoen doesn't appear in the BG2 start ? Make a --change-log out of these three files: "NEWGAME.BCS", "AR0602.BCS" and "ARAM00.BCS".

So, guess I will have to uninstall the subrace?
N' about the other two, since I don't know what they are, I'll have to ask, what are they?

Actually this all can be fixed with a corrected files, so you don't need to uninstall a thing... but getting those corrected files might be a little harder as I don't have access to the game files, so your hope lays in Lollorian unless someone else can figure what's bugging those files, and in my diagnose that I got the right files, as I can always be wrong with my assertion... the ar0602.bcs is the BG2 start area script, while the aram00.bcs is (as far as I remember ) the exit area that the party is takes in the cutscene that transports you to the SoA part...

I see, well, I might uninstall the game and the mods and then re-install everything all over again, with the exception of the subraces mod.

Also, are all these mods causing errors? Is there really no way around but to uninstall or getting these corrected files, which are hard to?

Well, it's likely that you have installed a(meaning 1) mod that has incompatibility issue with another mod, which causes the failure of Imoen to not show up. So it's only one mod that causes this error. The mods modify the files, but that's to say that they do as they are intended on their own. Did you read the whole post about the --change-log'ging, as you can go and use the files in the <gamefolder>/change-log/ folder by placing the newgame.0000x.bcs to the override folder and renaming it as newgame.bcs(make sure to have the original file as a backup !) ... it will by pass the modification made by the mod, and thus also you won't experience the modified game(nor get the subrace), but that's the same as not installing the mod.

Then, I'll try to find out which aren't compatible. (I wish all of them had the compatibility list... :C)

Yeah, and I think it's easier to uninstall the mod? xd

Anyways, thank you very much. :)

I could hack stuff I guess :P Please attach the NEWGAME.BCS and AR0602.BCS in your override folder here.

Probably some mod missed a Continue() - which means scripts from that mod don't allow other scripts below it to run unless the mod's scripts actually become true :D Yes voodoo black magic!

Well, I uninstalled the mods that were causing the problem and it's all fine now. :)
