Ah my bad; I just realised I was running ...Install.bat from C:\Games\Black Isle instead of C:\Games\Black Isle\BGII - SoA - problem solved now.

Thanks for your reply anyway dabus :).

Ah thanks a lot dreamer.

I tried the installation without selecting the Widescreen mod in the mod list - and it worked a treat. Just completed Candlekeep to make sure it's ok and so far so good.

Just like to thank the guys who made BWP too - fantastic program you have created here.

I thought I would just update this thread rather than start a new one...

I tried manually installing those mods but after 3 or 4 tries with every time the game behaving erratically I decided to give the BWP a go.

I am pretty much doing a Standard Install - I even removed quite a few mods (mainly NPCs I don't want - also some item mods and the "mega" mods eg. TDD/SoS/CtB/TS/RoT).

My first attempt I got stuck at the very start on "[Weidu-Backup] Using scripting style "BG2"" - I looked this up and found that it's caused by outdated versions of the weidu installer (or something like that) so I deleted the setup-modname.exe that were around 3000kb and replaced with the 508kb one.

I ran the Big World Install.bat after that and it seemed to work - it ran on for quite a while - installed BGT and all the other mods up to about the de'Arnise romance (think that was the last one to install) then it stopped on "[Weidu-Backup] Using scripting style "BG""

I have restored my BG2 install to a clean version and I am getting ready to try again, I thought I would just ask here if there's anything I can to do aid the process. I don't have unlimited patience and if I can't get this to work today I'm just going to give up replaying BG (been trying to install mods and get it running well for 5 days now).

Edit: Also, for certain mods (at the end of BGT/DSotSC/NSotSC and Bone Hill) it makes me press a key to continue - this is kind of irritating as I left my pc on overnight to install and come back in the morning to find that it has only advanced maybe an hour from when I left it. Is this supposed to happen? Can't I just leave it to install?
