Jaheira and Khalid have been adventuring for years and are working with the harpers. Kagain's been running a carava business for some time. Xzar and Montaron are theoretically in service to the Zhentarim, and have had to survive years on the streets of Zhentil Keep. And are now being sent by the Zhentarim to investigate the Iron Crisis. Edwin has been studying as a mage for basically all his life, in a country where magecraft is the highest art. Viconia grew up in the underdark, was a priestess of some power, fled the drow, and lived on the surface this long.
And yet they're all level 1.

As a note, I disagree with this assessment. While as a follower of Hanali, it's strongly suggested that he should accept love of any kind (even beyond racial, gender, or other cultural barriers, if he accepts that as love), it does not mean he will find love of that sort. A priest of a goddess of love, may only find romantic love among, may only be attracted to, humans, or women, or men, or dwarves, or nobles, or whatever but he should be able to recognize and encourage love when he sees it. When he sees it, is of course up to his writer, but I wonder what he'll think of the two lovers at the City Gates. Afterall, their 'love' leads them to do some terrible things, and the question must be asked, is that truly love? And how would he confront that situation...My opinion or rather question, is that if Srilorin follows and embraces the the beliefs of Hanali Cenalil, that he should romance both genders, of any class, race, and alignment, however if I were to do that, I strongly feel that I should specifically write two seperate romantic paths lovetalk wise, one for male and one for female to portray the differences.

I must say that I'm having trouble coming up with examples of merry NPCs. Most of them seems have been exposed to tragedy one way or the other. Even Imoen isn't her cheery self.
Then again, most of them retain the will to live so I suppose they aren't totally messed up.

As mentioned a portrait by Wycked. It went on to join the hall of fame at NWVault, so perhaps you saw it there. I also used it as an avvy for a time.(And he's the picture of a character of mine, who I once planned to make into a mod, but never really got to.)This looks like it could be... amusing.
Now if I could only figure out what that portrait reminds me of.
I also have to say that this looks like an interesting character, and I wish you the best working on it.

But even then, even such NPCs as Cernd and Mazzy have a very special relationship with each other. Korgan and Mazzy. Aerie and Haer'Dalis. All special characters.

I'm actually playing through IWD HOW as a Conjurer (also lacking Invocations). You don't get magic missile, but there's still a number of powerful attack spells, and never neglect the power of bringing in someone else to do it for you.
I finally finished mine!
Adoooooreable! And that is exactly why I always use SK to make Xan a regular mage
(Sides Burning hands is a pretty nice spell too, and not an invocation, and is level 1. And for a time Sleep (an enchantment spell is the best spell in the game.

I believe the dancing sequence is tied to your dexterity.Cheers - well I picked up healing anyway through force of habit (it's one I always take in skill-based games, for obvious reasons).
As for spoilers, don't worry too much - I know a couple of things about the plot already (like who the main character really is, and what happens with Bastila), just not the details. Um, that and the PC is a *really* bad dancer.
Having fun so far, at any rate.

Inspiration for him came from Diablo 2 Manual. Though that's what he will become, not what he yet is.
For every secret left unveiled, for every power learned,

Actually assembling together a Halfling(male) Cleric of Milil or Sheela Peryroyl as well(and maybe a female halfling bard). But unsure if (s)he's going in BG/2 or NWN2. And a dwarven(male or female) rogue(of Vergadain) or cleric(of Marthammor Duin).I. Play. The. Only. Halfling. D:
