I think that problem is TELEKINESIS spell (SPIN476.SPL) it creates hostile invisible creature which prevents saving. I haven't investigated problem any further, i just remove any references to TELEKINESIS from beholder scripts then everything works ok.

 

I'm not going to blame any mod without further investigation.

Munchkin, can you run the following command in your game folder and paste the result here?

 

weidu.exe --log nul --change-log SPIN476.SPL

Actually there's probably nothing wrong with SPIN476.SPL, problem is probably in BPINVSB.EFF or i might be totally wrong about this and problem is in SPIN476.SPL or then agian maybe not. :P

 

These spl problems are hard to figure out at least for me so i don't bother to do these. :lol:

Hi,

 

I got  similar problem. 

I finished with Valiant, talked to Rynn, killed the yuan-ti, talked to Rynn again, did  the annoying star puzzle thing, looted the altar - no chest. The secret door remains locked.

 

So I used Near Infinity to explore the temple, found out you needed a "stone key" (cbmysttp.itm) to open the door. I went around Hlondeth talking to everyone I met (and pick-pocketing them, for good measure), but still found no stone key.

 

any idea how I get to open the door?

then cutscene works.

Also Setup-Vanim.tp2 doesn't copy M#Verhaf.cre to override during install, copied it to override then cutscene works as it should.

Maybe:

should be added somewhere in tp2-file.

I have finished quests from TS25 Minimod (The Secret of the Troll Den, The Smell of the Black Lotus, The Destination of an Undead and The Concerns of a Sorcerer) without any further problems. Also i have probably? finished quests from "The request of a noble lady", only somekind of revenge is waiting later.

 

Also i have probably? have finished Les Exiles de Lunargent aka Devin without any further problems.

Hi Micbaldur. Glad to hear you finished mods without further problems :D

 

For the request of a noble lady... it ends in an "evil" way if you did not help the orphans etc... the good ending of the quest comes with the wedding etc :)

 

Could you please let me have my translation of hidden adventure? :)

Hi Micbaldur.

 

For the revenge part: the Note of a Scoundrel is part of The Request of a Noble Lady so possibly you did not finish the quest.

 

That part should lead you to Copper Coronet where you find Velero in a back room. If you missed this part it might be you also missed some other parts around. Not sure, just guessing.

If you took Velero to Bylanna I suppose you also did free Lygia. Did you also check back on her to let her know about it?

There is another quest in the Slums District, outside Copper Coronet. Looking for a Halfling Thief (by asking the two boys Terje and Tratto).

Another one involving Cowled Wizards and a Cleric of Kelamvor (Rurik's curse).

The wyvern "match" involving Ribald.

 

If you wish, I PM you a list of all quests involved in the Lady component so you can check :)

Well that quest list would be nice. :D

 

I did one of those 3 possible picture quests, it involved nude picture, Lygia and TIzi.

 

I also did that Cowled Wizards and Rurik's Curse, but didn't find Terje and Tatto quest, maybe it's one of those picture quest, don't know for sure.

Ah good ol' Shadows Over Soubar lol.  I am surprised that players actually get to this content at all in mega mod install. so there is progress there ;)  I may come out of retirement and give this a lookover since I never really got a chance back in the day.  I'll have to brush up on my skills since I have moved down to noobish status methinks.

 

Not sure about all those additional NPC mod conflicts wow :crying:

The game was playable but weird.  After entering the building, you could walk through walls.  Aside from that, the text was correct.

You need "new" DD0903.WED. Here's Lollorian's guide how to do it.

 

Ups forgot that you need "new" DD0903.TIS too.

 

Or you could put these to overirde folder.

Some mod or someone must have created these files as the light changes appear in many other areas.  Since these were not in the original TDD mod, can anyone tell me which mod/person should fix this?

WED and TIS problem is caused by BG2 Tweak component "Sensible Entrance Points", it's old problem but who's fixing it, i don't know.

 

As for your LM (Light map) SR (Search Region) and HT (height) problems i don't know what causes these, never had problems with them.

Hi micbaldur:

 

I downloaded DD0903.rar and extracted the files.  I copied DD0903.ARE, DD0903.TIS, and DD0903.WED to my OVERRIDE folder.  This did not fix the crash problem.  The game crashed and I got the same error message I started with.

 

"An Assertion failed in CGamesArea.ccp at line number 5012

Programmer says: Luminosity map missing:  DD0903LM"

 

I did not change the .ARE and .WED resource pointers since I assumed this was done to the files in the RAR file.  I will look at these files now to see what I can do with them.

 

I guess I need to become a "modder" to get a better understanding on how the game works.  Is there a "Modder for Dummies" book available?  (Just joking!)

I never had that LM (Light map) SR (Search Region) and HT (height) problem so those files rar are fix for flipped area not for missing LM (Light map) SR (Search Region) and HT (height) and CTD.

 

You need to copy those M (Light map) SR (Search Region) and HT (height) also but from where i don't know yet, i have check this more.

 

Shit where's Lollorian :P i could use little help here. :lol:

Hi micbaldur:

 

Using Near Infinity with problems.

 

Opened AR0903.ARE and got a file with three headers.  They were VIEW, EDIT, and RAW.  In the VIEW window there was a WED resource reference and it was easy to change it.

 

Opened DD0903.WED and get only two headers.  They were EDIT and RAM.  In EDIT, I cannot fine a TIS resource reference.  Also I cannot open DD0903.WED in the VIEW mode.

 

What am I doing wrong?

You did nothing wrong.

 

TIS is in EDIT of DD0903.WED view at Overlay 0, 9th line from up. Click that line and press View/Edit from below.

There's couple exp typos in my NEJ fixpack patches.

 

VPCUTT11.BAF.patch has:

ActionOverride("Xan",AddXPObject(Player1,11250))

it should be:

ActionOverride("Xan",AddXPObject(Player1,15000))

 

VPCUTT20.BAF.patch has:

ActionOverride("TuPhin",AddXPObject(Player1,15750))

it should be:

ActionOverride("TuPhin",AddXPObject(Player1,21000))

Those aren't big problem but i don't want to change Vlad's choice for exp (other mods does that :lol: ).

Couple Breagar NPC related problems encountered one new and one old.

 

Breagar NPC: Problem with getting Potion of Green Fire at Tower of Anstinus.

At ACVIRGI.DLG changed Action 22:

ActionOverride(LastTalkedToBy(Myself),CreateItem("ACPOTN48",0,0,0))
DestroySelf()

to:

GiveItemCreate("ACPOTN48",LastTalkedToBy,0,0,0)
DestroySelf()

That's ActionOverride looks odd in dlg-file but what do i know about modding, absolutely nothing.

 

I also had this old cutscene problem.

Breagar NPC: Cutscene hangs during Breagar axe quest.  At AC2001.ARE when Breagar takes you there Galthur (ACGAL.CRE) is suppose to talk to you but he takes damage (8) and dies because he has only 1 hitpoint.  Fixed locally by changing "Current HP" from 1 to 93. Don't know why hitpoints can't be full 93 though also don't have any idea why he gets "damage".

 

I have finished almost all vanilla area quest and so on and starting to do mod added arreas. So lot to do before i start chapter 3.

 

Shit 6 party slot slows my game (so many ladies to romance and also other NPCs and their quests and so on). I really could use use extra party slots, maybe 10 sounds about right.

 

Little side project for some ambitious modder,  :whistling:  maybe Lollorian might get interested :P probably not though. :D

 

Well, I can always dream about 10 party member mod though.

Encountered nearly game breaking bug at Planar Sphere.

 

Planar Sphere Mod: At Planar Sphere Tutor says that he gives gold as reward but i get nothing.

Changed Action 1 at PSTUTOR6.DLG:

GivePartyGold(8000)

to:

GiveGoldForce(8000)

Bug is bug. :P

Forgotten to report this.

 

Keto NPC: Keto's (BFWKETO.DLG) banter with Jaheira fires even though she's in party.

 

Banter:

Jaheira, as of late I've been remembering a tale I heard once, one which I think you may find interesting. Would you indulge me a little and listen?

It has odd in party check:

BP Ascension: I think that BP Ascension overwrites AR6200.BCS and wipe out all mod added NPC bioses up to that point only couple remains (installed after BP).

 

At BP_TOP.TPH:

COMPILE ~bp/ascend/snip/ar6200.baf~

Maybe it should be:

EXTEND_TOP ~bp/ascend/snip/ar6200.baf~

or:

EXTEND_BOTTOM ~bp/ascend/snip/ar6200.baf~

Not NPC bios matters much at that point. :P

 

Update:

More bios problems at AR6200.

 

The Undying: Typo at CAR6200.BAF probably causing Ninafer's bios not to show up.

At CAR6200.BAF:

TextScreen("CMNINA1")

maybe it should be:

TextScreen("cmniand1")

Not that bios matters that much :P but bugs are bugs.

 

Update2:

Yet one more bios problem.

 

Kiara-Zaiya NPC: Typo at ZAI6200.baf causing one of the Zaiya's bios not to show up.

At ZAI6200.baf:

TextScreen("ZAIREND3")

maybe it should be:

TextScreen("ZAIEND3")

 

Also there's problem with one of the Aran's bios but didn't bother to check it because i don't care about male NPCs that much. :P

You can't have any weapons equiped (aka weapon slots must be empty) in Halruaa (only sewers you can use weapons without breaking Halruaa quests). Not sure about armors but i use Academy Robes in Halruaa.

 

You can kill first mage group before meeting Wizard Guard but not any other mages or quests are broken.

 

If Sandrah refuses to un-equip weapons you are fucked. :P

So there is no fix of hostility all NPC's in Halrura??? Even without Sandrah?

Load save before leaving Halruaa at Ulcaster. Kick Sandrah, put items to Packmule of somewhere else (items in inventory vanish) then talk to Tilorn and he teleports you Halruaa.

 

If you don't have save then check (with EEKeeper ot ShadowKeeper) that global "VP_Breaking_Rules" is 0.

 

Don't put weapons to weapon slots but use can use other slots aka boots, rings and so on (armor i'm not sure i use Academy Robes).
