Can anyone post the stats and the description for Astral Dragons, because they can't be found in the usual manuals available on net. :help:

Instantly regenerates all damage from any source

so it can't be killed if you don't do so in one strike (or with a timestop)

Nope, wounds heal as they form. You have to kill it with instant death effects, which means getting past that 95% MR. Of course, they can buff resists with their spells too.

well, that's a tough bit right there. if they had 1 hp, then you could kill them. lets say bumping them causes 1hp of damage, they would die since they didn't have a chance to heal.... ah crap, it's just like throwing a ball up in the air, it's still accelerating at 10 m/s but it isn't moving. i thought my answer made sense, but maybe you'll see some out of that

The description states that they cannot be killed by doing damage to them. Going by that, even if you did enough damage in one attack to take them down to -50 hps, they would still heal the damage instantly. Don't argue with me about it, I didn't design them.

As to why they have so many HD it's because HD have more uses than just hps. HD also determine saves, casting level, which spells can affect them, etc.

Level drain would hurt them, as they don't have any innate immunity to it. The same goes for stat drain. The only problem is that they know what they are vulnerable to, and they have the spells of a lvl 30 cleric to try and block those types of attacks. Death Ward and spells that block lvl drain are probably high on their priority list.

Why Stoned Wolf? why did you make them this way. it's just so confusing.....

anyways, if something goes to 0 hp or lower, it's dead. that's my opinion, so that's how it is... :vbat:

Ya know, if you were a player in one of my games, I'd have an enemy turn you into a Modron so you could argue rules as much as you wanted and still be in character. Just saying. ;)

nyways, if something goes to 0 hp or lower, it's dead. that's my opinion, so that's how it is... :vbat:

Some 2E players use an optional rule where 0 to -9 is unconscious, and -10 is dead.

Does anyone know how big they can be in size? Would they be bigger than Malystryx or the other Great Dragons from Krynn (where the heck they did come btw?) ?

The adults are about 50' in length, and that doesn't include the tail which is probably about the same length. They're considered Colossal.

If you are talking about the Great Dragons then they arrived when Takhisis moved Krynn during the battle against Chaos, a few of the Great Dragons noticed this (there's a whole world of them fighting each other) and went to Krynn. Because Takhisis was weak from moving Krynn, she couldn't do anything about it!

Yep. Now I'm interested in getting more knowledge of the world where the Great Dragons came from.

"Our world, the world where I and others of my kind were born, is not like this world. We do not share our world with the short-lived, the soft-bodies. Ours is a world of dragons."
"We roamed our world at will and fought ferocious battles, this Beryl and this Malys, they seem to you enormous and powerful, but in comparison to those who ruled our world, they are small and pitiful creatures. That was one reason they came to this world."
"I could see, as others of our kind, that our world was growing stagnant. We had no future, our children had no future but to eat or been eaten. We were not advancing, we were regressing. I was not the only one to seek a way off the world, but I was the first to be successful. Using magic, I discovered the roads that led through the ethers to other worlds far beyond our own. I grew skilled at traveling these roads. Often the roads saved my life, for if I was threatened by one of the Eldars, I had only to jump into the ethers to escape."

And that's all I know, for now..........

Hmm, there was a world of dragons campaign setting, but I never tried it. Maybe I can find something on it.
