NorthEast of the phantoms and the lake. You should get the cursor to change when you get to that point.
Aha! I was looking along the wrong edge. I found it, thanks. Now I need to go back and save before I screw up again.

My darling daughter is dragging me off to the Science Museum as part of her class requirements, guess I'll have to stop for now. I was able to defeat the Banshee, Oi. Two characters downed on one stupid undead elf. The Dark One proved tougher still two reloads and dropping the difficulty level to nil and I was able to take him out. One problem. No potions for the Phantoms. Searched the entire combat area, no potions. The damed Lich cast some kind of cold attack as he was going down, could this have chunked the potions? That and what are their file labels. I can go and look them up on NI and and backdoor them into the game.

You don't need potions for the phantoms, just kill the lich and talk with the 1 phantom.
Hmmmn . . . I killed the bloody Lich, collected my 9500 XP, but the phantoms won't talk to me. Let me go back and see if I can sort this out.
Nope still won't talk to me. How many phantoms are there supposed to be, maybe I toasted one of 'em without knowing?

The phantom that talks to you needs to stay alive. He should follow you around to comment on your failure with killing the lich. When he does, the second lich appears and the door to the cabin will open.
You actually never see the 6 potions. The final kill triggers the quest's end and the phantom thanking you.

Damn!!! There's only 5 phantoms on the screen. I've managed to screw up another one. I wonder how in the hell that 6th phantom bought it . . .
Looks like it's time to cut my losses and hes back to Beregost.

You did talk to Jet's uncle in the Jovial Juggler first right? Otho won't talk to you until the uncle gives you a letter to take to him. You won't get the task to go dragon hunting until you talk to Otho, either.

Did you uninstall the old version and then install 1.0? I suspect that something is left behind and it is causing you guys these problems. I think that when a mod is uninstalled, the globals stay the same, so if they are already bad, it effects the updated game also. You should actually get two Othos (because I forgot the first one never walked away). Just CreateCreature("DSOTHO") inside the smithy and you should be fine.

Yes, I uninstalled the first version, than installed the second. Then I talked to Lennar and got the letter to take to Otho. Sounds like ypu've hit the nail on the head. The area globals and flags are not reset when you uninstall the old version and reinstall the new version.
On another front, does anybody have an electronic version of "Scourge of the Slavelords" they be willing to let me download? A paper copy wouldn't be bad either. I guess, I'm just an old fogey, but having a paper copy of the source in your hands knocks the hell out of having a pdf on your computer.
Ok . . . I've just gone through and beamed up Otho. He agreed to make the hammer. When I leave Thunderhammer's, Dawn Priest Something-or-Other runs up and tells me some other Dawn Priest is waiting to talk to me over ath the Burning Wizard. The second Dawn Priest is a no-show.

To speed things up, when you go into the inn in Nashkel, you may need to do the same with Jeremy ("DSJEREMY").
Are you running BG1NPC as well as DSotSC? If so, what order did you install them? BG1NPC installs an area script for AR3200 (just north of Nashkel) but it overwrites any script already there. DSotSC has to be installed after BG1NPC to fix this. Otherwise, you will have a problem with finding Cuchy and also the cave entrance for the last quest.

The cosmetic changes brought by Dsotsc are there. I haven't been able to get very far because I'm fighting off some kind of bug that I picked up from my students. One of those little joys of education.
One more in my endless series of questions. Why can't a Priest of Mystra use the Gauntlets of the Faithful Warrior, which are a cleric only Dsotsc item?

I've found a link to a version of the first 2/3rds of the module converted to 3rd Edition (there are links for the remainder, but they don't work), with links to .pdf's of the original mods on sale from WotC. You can find it at
http://66.34.111.89/...sionsdocs.htmto.
If this doesn't do you any good, I think I've still got copies of A1 - A4, as well as the "Scourge" compilation, in a box somewhere. If the stuff at the links doesn't help, I may be able to dig them out, scan them, and send them to you.
Y'know, some of the slave lords at the "guarded compound" in Athkatla's Temple district have the same names as the slave lords from this series. 'twould be cool if someone could do a "SoBH" conversion. Probably have to be set during BG1, or massively upgraded, to not be too much of a cakewalk....

There's probably a reason that the names are the same. I'm running a 2nd Ed Campaign because that's the rule set that I have. Converting from 3rd Ed back to 2nd ed, in addition to converting the module to the Al-Qadim setting sounds like more work than I care to deal with. I've managed to come up with a PDF copy of "Scourge" and I have started renaming things to make it fit in Zakhara. I'm going to use the west coast and the city of Akota. The Land of Fate Campaign setting leaves a large area of the western coast open to tinker with. Tinkering is something I do reasonably well. If I can't make it better, I can really screw it up. Either way, it should turn out "fun."

I'd send you my copies of A1-4, but they are 1st ed. Seems like nobody's on the same page here. *lol*
I'm in the process of printing off the series, a few pages at a time. (If the print were any smaller, I'd need a magnifying glass to read them.) After that I'll go through and alter names and locations to fit my setting. At the moment, the actual city is a figment of my imagination based roughly on Calimport. Nowhere near as populous, but subdivided into walled sectors.
