The topic title question... i want to know which Refinements components are already BP compatible.

If you use some of the TDD kits, you'll probably incur in problems with our Use Scrolls system (not to mention the fact that they won't have specific HLA tables, so the couldn't ever be truly integrated with the system!).
But if you use BP just for the quests, using the original classes and kits, there shouldn't be problems... well, some minor ones, possibly, which we are currently removing for the upcoming V2.

All in all, it depends on your definition of "compatibility".
I'd say V2 will be "totally" compatible, as long as you don't include TDD kits in this evaluation.
And you'll still need a kit uninstaller, if you want to use the Sword Angel component.

The other three components should be "compatible" already, as far as I know :)

Ever forward, my darling wind...

Mind that SwashImoen will blow your game if you have Imoen Romance, NeJ or BGT; Until v2 comes out, that is :)

That's me. Perfect. Furthermore, i often use the TDD kit Remover or Polar Bear TDD kit Selector.

Ah, ok then I won't use that component this time. I can always change her class with SDK, thought.

So then, Refinements is indeed quite compatible with BP, just discard some things away. I wonder if this means i can install Large Scale Battle and Mazzy the Paladin too.

Thx for the quick replys.

MTP should work, LSB I don't know (never got to play it). At a first glance, though, I think they should work.

Unfortunately, BP adds so much stuff to the baldur.bcs that you may find that some scripts aren't working properly. That is the fault of the engine, and there is little I can do.

Incidentally, these mods aren't part of Refinements, so direct relative comments to The Bigg House :)

Oh, I hope you don't mind if I resurrect this topic :D

So, finally I have some time to catch my breath and make a new BG build. My question is, would V2 fit in my (not yet existent) BP-BGT-DSotSC-CTB build?
Of course I'll remove TDD kits first. And I also plan to install Rogue rebalance mod. :D

Should I just forget it or give it a shot?

(btw, both BP and BGT will be the old non-weidued version)

I was able to play nicely with these installed, though it's not 100% sure; if you don't mind CLUAing every now and then, you'd do us a great beta-testing service :) (I was the BP compatibility manager, but then I decided that TDD and SOS weren't that good, so I uninstalled them).

Okay, here I am. Unfortunately, I didn't have too much time for playing, I'm in Nashkel atm. Actually I've just realized a potential incompatibility/future bug. So...

I totally forgot this! TDD does not only offer new kits for a PC, but it changes many NPCs default kits aswell. Khalid is a vindicator for example (probably one of the kits with the least fantasy), and Minsc is a Rasheman Berserker (cheese). My guess is that these NPCs won't benefit from your awesome improved HLA table. Is this correct, Bigg?

If so, is there a way to fix this? (removing kits, or applying new HLA's to all kits?)

Edit: typo :)

TDD kits will receive the standard class' HLA, which may or may not be appropriate, and in some cases they could cause some problems, but generally you should be fine, maybe except something with *argh* spell scrolls.

Of course, changing with NI their kit back to Trueclass or one of the standard BG2 ones, although it could involve a couple of tricky parts, is well-advised.

EDIT: could you please list all creatures who have been assigned a custom kit (filename + in-game name + class), so that I could improve the TDD kit remover?

Hmm, thanks a lot :). That's great I thought there would be more problem with this, but that's great :) Anyway if I find anything I'll post it here. Hmm I'm a bit tempted to change Minsc's HLA table to another ranger kit's. Or maybe just get rid of the cheese, I don't know.

I've caome across a bug, I don't know if its refinements related. When I travel to a certain area, the loading screen comes in normally, but instead of disappearing it goes slowly transparent, and then I see my party on a blank black screen. Have I messed up my installation, what do you think?

I think this has nothing to do with Refinements or any of it's components, but I cannot tell you more.

Honestly, it would seem an area related problem, and we don't add anything specific to areas...
Which area is that?

Hmm, looks like it's a DSotSC related problem, so sorry for my redundant post here.
