Greetings to all
I together with Mega-WeiDU Install Instructions can install mods:
NPCFlirt
Redemption113
HERBS & POTIONS ADD-IN FOR BALDUR'S GATE II
HERBS & POTIONS ADD-IN BG1
The Black Rose Part 1: Market Prices
Without what or problems?

Small question about Redemption113
It needs to be installed up to or after (BPEndBiff)?

Hi , abbatik

At this point , Redemption113 is not totally compatible with BGT.
So it is probably not compatible with BP+BGT now.

You can see the details on the below:

it's just a maxed out songlist: as long as you edit songlist.2da - as described in the thread you linked to - then Redemptoin will work fine with a BP+BGT install.

***WARNING 09/01/06*** BG2 Fixpack/BG1-BG2 Transition Issue[/size]. There appears to be an issue with the BG1-BG2 transition when BG2 Fixpack Beta2 is installed. For a temporary Workaround until this is addressed further, open the BG2 Fixpack .tp2 with a text editor and delete the two sections that deal with 1.) AR0602 Pause and Drop Exploit, and 2.) TELE0700 Familiar Exploit. Then install BG2 Fixpack and BGT installs properly and your AR0602 & TELE0700 .bcs's aren't woofed and your BG1-BG2 transition works properly.

I'm about to finish BG1 and my Mega-Install is very close to Erebusant's as described in the Weidulog082406.
It seems to me that this fix works for a new install....What about the case of having an advanced game?
Do I have to roll back everything? Will I lose my saves?
I still have some lenght to go in BG1 thanks to all the mods...so maybe I should sit still with my current install and hope that you guys come-up with a brilliant patch by then? Any suggestions?

Thanks much

I'll attach my AR0602.bcs and TELE0700.bcs I have in my current install tonight when I get home. They both seem to work just fine from the testing I did. I hope they'll work for you too.

Thanks Erebusant, you are a saint!
Do I just have to copy/download these 2 files and drop them in the override folder?

Just right-click each of them and "save target as", then select select *All Files* and make sure the filename has the .bcs extension and save them somewhere safe. Then rename the files already in your override directory (ie; AR0602Orig.bcs) or something like that, then drop the new files in there and give it a try. If it doesn't work you can always delete them and go back to your original files.

I put up my pared down baldur.bcs as well. Got rid of as much of the hellblade checks, etc as I could get away with.

Cittern is from NEJ. There's about 10 other .itm files that'll read out of bounds as well, if you make it past the cittern error. As I recall, back when I was experimenting with "tougher Sendai" in Oversight, without having NEJ biffed I ran into the same issue, and had to run that component several times and delete the files that caused the hiccup, and try again until it made it all the way through. Tougher Sendai causes it's own problems, however, and I'm not sure if G3 fixed the overwriting of files with their latest version so it only appends or not. I certainly hope so! I'd love to be able to beef Sendai up some more!

Hello, I need some guidance in the completion of the big mods (and some smaller ones) in my Mega Install:

I have completed "The Lure of the Sirine's Call", "The secret of Bone Hill", "The Dark side of the Sword Coast".
I have killed Sarevoc in his underground temple and I guess it is time to start "Tales of the Sword Coast" and "Norther Tales of the Sword Coast".
However, after killing Sarevoc, an in-game message appears telling me that I should go back to the Duchal palace and inform the dukes that Sarevoc is no more. I did so and it initiated a dialogue about taking a message to Amn for the Duke. I accepted and found myself passed-out (with the rest of my party) in some woods with a guy named Mae'Var ? Then I woke up caged in what seems to be Irenicus dungeon. But here I can't do a thing, I have no mean to gain control of any character (even mine), and I'm stuck.
It this the BG1-BG2 transition bug that is mentionned by Erebusant? If yes, I'll download the 2 files supposed to fix it.

But first, if this is the transistion to BG2, should I finish all BG1 mods first before going to talk to the Duke and being jumped in the forest! ?

Thanks for the help.

Yep. That's the transition. You should go do the TotSC and NTotSC quests before going back to the Duchal palace. Before you do that though, if you could give those .bcs files a test run to verify they work with your install on the transition, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

To Erebusant:
Hi,
I have renamed my original TELE0700.BCS and AR0602.BCS in the override folder and dropped the ones attached on the first post, but it did not solve the transition problem for me. It actually made it worst:
With my old install, I had control of the HUD, the mouse pointer and all the other menues but not of the characters (they all have blue circles). Now with the new BCS files, I have none of the previous controls and the only way to get out of the screen is to Alt-F4 it.

Do I have to replace the Baldur.BCS file too?
Any suggestion on what to do next?

Thanks

Don't do the Baldur.bcs. That's just a pared down version without a lot of the SoS item checks, etc, etc. Do you have Near Infinity available to look at your area bcs files with? You'll want to see that your file looks something like like in this thread: http://www.shsforums...showtopic=21999

:( No, I don't have Near Infinity software...and I doubt I'll be able to use it if I have it!
You said in another post that the Beta 3 fixpack solved the problem...but that would imply reinstalling EVERYTHING since it is the first mod after the BG2 official patch to be installed! Is there (planned to be done) a simple patch to the Beta 2 fixpack that would allow such correction?

Thanks

I may be wrong here but I dont think I am alone when I say that I have reinstalled about a million times, thats half the fun of the game (IMHO). Trying to get the perfect install is a rush and I think I have spent more time reinstalling than playing and I am not complaining at all. If your not willing to reinstall then you might as well play an unmodded BG2 because mods are updated all the time fixing bugs or adding new content. What you need to do is create yourself a backup so that a reinstall will only take a couple of minutes. To do that just just do a full install with patch and no-cd patch then copy your dialogue.tkl, chitkin.key and override folder to someplace safe. If you need to reinstall just delete the aformentioned files/directories and copy them back over from where you saved them. Presto!!! fresh install.

Don't get me wrong Ronin! I have previously made several Mega-mod reinstalls, and I have no problem doind them again. However, I would like to know if my saved games will still be valid (If the reinstall is based on the same but updated mods).
Because, if my wife sees me starting again from Candlekeep and runnig away from gliberings, defeating the brown dragon will be the last of my worries! She is a sweetheart (hence my wife!) but, she can polymorph into some really scarry stuff! :P

Thanks for the help guys!

I've had good success with complete re-installs as long as the re-install is completed exactly in the same order as the previous one with all the same steps. The other thing to verify before re-installing is to be certain you have all of the bifs deleted from your data directory that are placed there by the big mods. Sometimes not all of them will delete with uninstall.
