Firstly, I need to make a compliment, the character is really great, thank you :)

I cheated her stats lightly, so I can theoretically multiclass her to a fighter, however, the option to multiclass is not available in the Character screen (its blackened out). Is this intended, is it a game-mechanical restriction (because shes a Tiefling?), or simply a bug?
I would really like to multiclass her and want to ask you (the modders), if you would make this possible, slightly changing the mod, or pointing me at the right direction, how I (and others, if interested) could make these changes via WeiDu (Im still a newbie at it)?

Thanks in advance :)

/Edit:
I would also like to offer my services as a translator for german language :)

You can only choose a multiplayer character at the beginning, when creating one. Since she's a NPC, that option isn't available at all. What I think you mean is dual-classing, which is to change a class for another, but retaining the abilities gained with the first class when the new class reaches one level more than the original. This however, is an ability exclusive of humans, so Fade cannot do it.

My suggestion would be to change Fade class altogether with Shadowkeeper to the one you prefer, although I'm not sure if this might screw up something else with the mod.

In AD&D 2E (which the BG games are based on) only humans may "dual-class", while other races "multiclass". The difference is that dual-classing means you stop gaining levels in your current class and start over with a new class, while multiclassing means advancing in two (or sometimes three) classes at the same time. Human characters can dual-class from the character sheet, but multiclassing can only be done at first level - so a tiefling who becomes a single-classed is stuck that way. (No, this doesn't make much sense.)

If you change Fade's race to human, you should be able to dual-class her. If you change her class to fighter/thief with her current race, I think the game would interpret her as a multiclassed fighter/thief.

Oh, I thought, it was the other way around...I meant dual-classing, then.

Changing her race to Human works, and doesnt seem to mess the romance up, however, the moment she "dual-classes", her amulet becomes unusable...

My suggestion is to go with Fade as a multi-class Thief/Fighter since this is more useful and also in character (she was a gladiator afterall). Dual-classing is way overrated. For example, she won't get high-level abilities as a Thief if you dual class her to something else - as a Multi Thief/Fighter she would get both Thief (USE ANY ITEM!) and Fighter HLAs; and hit points will be higher as a multi-class, Elf advantage to Dexterity, etc.. Anyway, her character really demands to be a thief. She also talks about losing magic abilities later so I wouldn't pick mage either. I think her necklace remains useable as a Thief/Fighter.

Most mod NPCs' items are made to be used only by a character who resembles the mod NPC in question very closely, since modders tend to not like players stealing the phat l00t and booting the NPC from the party.

You can change the settings on items with Near Infinity or one of the other editors out there. It's not too hard to learn, and very useful if you want to make your own mod some day. :new_thumbs:

A very good idea, indeed, why havent I thought about that?
The necklace isnt usable for anything but a pure thief...and yeah, I found Near Infinity allready and modified the Item :P :)

Another option is making Fade a swashbuckler. Frankly, that's what she's always struck me as anyway, a sort of thief that can be a better fighter than a fighter in several ways. (I mean, I know Mistress E said no kits, but wasn't Fade a gladiator at one point? A pure thief isn't suited for gladatorial combat, they thrive in situations where they can control the flow of combat, striking and disappearing when it suits them. In a toe-to-toe, knock down, drag out fight, the only kind of single-class thief that has much of a chance to make a good showing is a swashbuckler.) That keeps her a single-class thief and a more effective combatant.

Besides, swashbucklers are a lot of fun, especially when you get to "epic" levels. With "Use Any Item" you can put her in red dragon scale armor and enjoy her swashbuckler AC bonus stacked with the ridiculous AC of the armor, forming what could possibly be the ultimate warrior.
