This was originally meant to be Mazzy; the clothing pretty much follows my previous design. But a little into it I figured that the proportions were definitely un-halfling like.
Soo, most of it is just turbo-hurried sketchyness. .p
And it no longer is meantto be Mazzy.

Maybe not in halfling proportions, but looks like Mazzy nevertheless, I'd say.
I'd like to see this coloured someday since I really like the design and her pose. ^^

I don't think I'll color that, or maybe as an color style experiment; it's a bit too rough for my usual colors.
But I do think I'll try to draw her again (& color her) in the same pose, just with corrected proportions (& corrected face .p ) . :]

Ah, well, the face... maybe a bit angular for a girl (and if you leave out the line on the right side, next to nose and mouth, she'll look a bit younger).
(And if I get it right on the sketch, her ear's just a bit too high). Hells, the loads of portraitwork for school seem to make me rant. Pardon me

Yeahh, the face was quite hurried, the nose turned out a bit large and the forehead a bit short and too slanted.
But Mazzy's face is a bit peculiar even in the original portrait I think.
On a glance it looks ordinary, but paying attention to the detail... aside the somewhat over-done pillow-lips, her lower ½ face with it's slightly-split chin and strong jawbone is quite masculine. And she's got really heavy cheek-bones too. .p

And the exact shape of her forehead is a bit hard to figure out; the high-rise, shorty-dreads provide some heavy additional shadow there so I think it ends up looking more slanted up-front than it really would be.

Mazzy's face is indeed peculiar, I totally agree.
The lips made me look at them twice since they are somewhat unsymmetric (is it just me, or does the right part of the lower lip look a bit swollen? Maybe it's just the strong shadows tricking me...). Maybe someone thought they'd make a nice contrast to the rather sharp outlines of her face. The jawbones are quite prominent as well, and I think that the strong shadows make her facial features (especially the nose) altogether look somewhat angular.

And hell, I just noticed that the original portrait's eyebrows are dark enough to make me look at them before I realize the rest of the face

O' ye, the lips are weird.
The upper-lip looks kinda 'bulgy' in a typical lower lip fashion, like she were pursing her lips or something, but the mouth otherwise doesn't look pursed much at all.
And there's a strange thin dark line just on the upper lip that makes me go '@_@'.

Of course, it's all only noticeable in the maximum size portrait... @_@

I seem to be having some trouble keeping focused now... so here's a beast-spirit thingy.

A beast spirit? What's his name? Is it from a local legend/myth or it is your own creation? I like spirits!

It's connected to a fantasy world I've been envisioning in my head. The original idea was to use werewolves for the purpose I now intend to use this (these) guys for, hence the basic look.
I think I'll still want to work on the design though.
I want to it to look something like a wide-mawed, antlered bear on wolf-paws. The arms would however be the three-finger talon thingies displayed there.
