Want to expand the gameplay a bit.

Right now, I have Ascension, Valen, Tactics and G3 BG2 Tweaks installed.
Though they are a nice addition, I would like even more content, without unbalancing the game too much.

Especially looking for new quests, areas and items.

Thanks in advance

Well, Fishing for Trouble is supposedly quite good (I haven't played it, yet) here at SHS. QuestPack and Unfinished Business over at PPG are also good for more content.

Thanks, gonna check them out.

By the way. Of all the threads I've created, you've been the one to answer them all.
Is it just you and me here? :-P

No, but BG is my speciality area, and I am very quick to answer posts.

Try posting on BioWare's forum, where I was one of the leading posters there (until I got banhammaz :X) and you see how quick you need to be, unless you catch them out of sync.

That was irony anyway. I'm glad you are dedicated.
Why were you banned from Bioware? Too progressive view on modding?

Level 1 NPCs, to build your own team from the joinable NPCs, a paladin Korgan, fighter Edwin and cleric Minsc might be bad ideas, but they can still be done.
They do still behave like they were what they were in the original game though.

The Item Revisions and Spell Revision, by Demivrgvs are good too, in terms of balance etc. variety.

I personally like Unfinished Business & QuestPack/
Tweak wise, Ease of Use makes gameplay remarkably "hassle-free"

If you like Tweaks, I strongly recommend my Misc Mods.
Note though there are Tweaks for both making the gameplay Easier and Harder, so just take note what to install and what not to install.
There's also some of my favourite things like Auto Sell Script, and Accelerated Underdark (that usually cuts out the content though)

If your idea of New Content is surviving a Resource Management procedure in Spellhold instead of the usual boring maze, you can try Spellhold Gauntlet.
The components Shortened Cutscenes in Spellhold and Irenicus Waiting in Spellhold are also pretty handy IMO.

Pluggy, I know ^^;; but my sincere thoughts.

This is always a good beginning:
- BG2 Fixpack
- BG2 Tweak Pack
- Baldur's Gate Trilogy
- BGT Tweak Pack

For BG1:
- BG Mini-Quests and Encounters
- Lure of the Sirene's Call
- Grey Clan Episode 1
- BG1 NPC Project
- BG1 Unfinished Business

For BG2:
- Tower of Deception
- Dungeon Crawl
- Adalon's Blood
- Banter Pack
- IEP Extended Banters

Additional you can choose one or two NPC mods which you want to have for BG1 and BG2.

If you want big Mods, then try at first:
- Dark Side of the Sword Coast (for BG1)
- The Darkest Day (for BG2)

For a little bit tactic, try these:
- Sword Coast Stratagems (for BG1)
- Sword Coast Stratagems II (for BG2)

Greetings Leomar

A Megamod does not mean that you can play all of the mods or all of their content,
but you have more choices or paths through the game.
