Over the past few months Qwinn has been working hard to get the next releases of his brilliant PS:T mods released, and with the help of scient and a load of opinions from all sectors, the PS:T Fixpack v3, PS:T Unfinished Business v3 and Qwinn's PS:T Tweaks v3.5 have all been completed.

The Planescape: Torment Fixpack is a comprehensive WeiDU Fixpack for Black Isle's classic Planescape: Torment CRPG. Fixing literally hundreds of bugs and thousands of typos, thereby restoring a lot of lost and inactive content, the PS:T Fixpack (along with PS:T Unfinished Business and Qwinn's PS:T Tweak Pack) provides a completely new Planescape: Torment experience! Click here for a list of the most important fixes, as well as further information on the mod itself.

Planescape: Torment Unfinished Business takes the almost-but-not-quite-finished content that shipped with Black Isle's classic Planescape: Torment CRPG and polishes, bugfixes and finishes it so you can see and enjoy the new content in your game! With 18 components it is a must-have for anyone interested in seeing what the developers didn't get time to do--or even if you're just looking for some new content! Click here for information on each of the compenents and further information on the mod itself.

Qwinn's Planescape: Torment Tweaks adds a few ease-of-use tweaks to your Planescape: Torment install, as well as one or two must-have components! Including a banter accelerator, ease-of-use tweaks and several content changes, this is an extremely useful mod for any player. Click here for information on each of the components and further information on the mod itself.

Thanks for the announcement K'ael :)

Unfortunately, the Fixpack readme link still isn't updated to 3.0. The UB and Tweak pack links are, but the Fixpack is still on 2.0.

P.S. Oh wow, didn't notice the time stamp, didn't realize you -just- posted this, heh, sorry. I just wokes up

Try now--it just took a while to propagate, I guess. :)

Aaah, weirdness, must've been cached, it kept coming up as 2.0 till I hit refresh.

Thanks again!

No problem at all--congratulations, that's a heck of a lot of work represented in those 3 releases, I know :D

I've had a very quick look through this and it sounds very exciting; I assume old savegames do NOT work with these fixes as so much is getting changed?

Yeah, that's the case. Because so much is being altered (including the game engine itself), you need to start a new game.

Hi!
I am dBLOOD, I am a PS:T fan. I believe I have seen a sound file amongst the game files, where Annah say something like "I love you" to TNO. I believe I googled it and found the information in a forum post, the information that stated, that it was ment to be included in the game, but was not eventually. Is that fixed too, or only those on the list?

Hello all,

Thanks for the good work, I highly appreciate it.

I've decided to play the game once more, and I've read all the release notes, I like everything you've done...

...except some parts of the Tweaks pack. (I don't want full HP per level, I don' need free identification of items etc.)

Are these things optional, or I'm accepting all of them when installing?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I missed the earlier question on this thread.

dBlood, no, there's no restoration of Annah's "I love you" sound file at this time. It'd be handy if someone ever wanted to write a fuller Annah romance, I suppose, but I've no interest in writing that myself at this time.

Thanks for fielding the other one, Daulmakan.

Qwinn, I'd like to ask some questions before I do some downloading (it sounds great by the way):

Does the Expanded Deionarra's Truth Mod enable dialogue that couldn't be known at the time? This might sound like a dumb question and I'm sorry if it is, but I didn't quite understand it fully. That could be slowness on my part though... It sounds like a fun quest and has got neat feedback but I wouldn't want to mess up the plausibility of the storyline and dialogue.

The Scale of Souls in the Tweak Pack sounds pretty useful (for determining the stat boost from Vhailor and how much chaos I can play with before Celestial Fire becomes useless). I can just download that from the Tweak Pack and ignore everything else, right? I ask because some items on the Tweak Pack list are down as Not Recommended, which according to other packs means they won't be downloaded automatically, whereas some are, including ones I don't really care for (even save/reload for optimum stat boosts per level seems more authentic than just having it all on a platter).

Also, Trias still only reacts to the appearance of TNO with the fixpack (in Carceri), so I can use Annah to steal Celestial Fire without betraying him or having Vhailor, right?

Thanks

Colonel,

No, actually, that's the whole point of the Expanded mod. There is original Black Isle dialogue not normally available in game (mostly from Iannis, but some from Yves as well) that couldn't be directly restored because there was no way to know what you needed to know to have those conversations before you left for the Fortress. You'd learn what you needed to know at the Fortress, but at that point it was too late, you couldn't get back to Iannis in order to have those conversations.

So, what I did was write -new- dialogue... yes, it's new content... that lets you find out what you already find out in the Fortress before you actually have to go there, thus unlocking that original Iannis/Yves content in a way that makes sense. The point of the new content is to create a plausible way in which to gain that knowledge at a point when it's still useful.

As for the Trias/pickpocket thing, yeah, you probably can still do that, though that -is- on the docket for being fixed. Trias keeps Celestial Fire during the fight even if you pickpocket it off him, which is obviously messed up. It'll be fixed in the next full version.

Thanks for the response. Sounds good and I'll have to give it a shot :)

Okay thanks. Would that fix mean that Celestial Fire couldn't be pickpocketed or that Trias would proceed to fight without Celestial Fire?

By the way, another user and I had a question in another thread which we were hoping you could answer: http://www.shsforums...showtopic=38550

Thanks

The fix will be to make Trias no longer pickpocketable. He's -holding- the thing at the time, it's not in his pocket and shouldn't be available to steal.

Thank you all so much...

I am a Chinese player, and this game is like a LEGEND in all related communities in China...

I'm searching for some unofficial patches for PS:T, and I downloaded the fix patch by Platter on some cite, and links lead me here, I am glad that there are people still working on it today.

Welcome!

Be aware, WeiDU and non-WeiDU mods are not compatible... if you attempt to overlay my Fixpack on top of Platter's Fixpack, you will have problems. There is no need to try, though... my Fixpack addresses all the bugs and issues in Platter's Fixpack (though not necessarily in the same way, details in the Readme)

We're currently experiencing a bit of trouble with our database--I'll make sure our technical guru knows about it, and with any luck it'll be fixed today. :)
