I really loved Taled of the Deep Gardens, it was quite different and imaginative.  The whole concept is just neat.

However there is one thing that's bugging the crap out of me.
I know there's another topic about this already, but I really cannot find out what the Colour Links do to my character - other than turn his hair a different color.  I really don't want to put some random effect on my character that I don't know what it is.  I've found Colour Link innate abilities in ShadowKeeper, but having the lady draw the colour on my chest doesn't add any of those abilities.  Even after I leave the Deep Gardens, after I've gotten the other innates, I don't have anything besides funny colored hair.

Am I missing something?  I understand it's supposed to be mysterious, but I'd rather not find out that I've put some effect on my character that I don't like that requires me to load a savegame and lose several hours of gameplay to undo the effect.

I'm the kind of gamer that doesn't mind spoilers... when those spoilers are directly related to me building my character like I want.  :-)

I think I will just start to ignore questions like those. It is on purpose - when you pick some kind of link, consider nature of each Colour. I don't write adjectives randomly - for example Red is Wrathful. Creatures are not resistant to some attacks just "because" - again, there is a reason why Green has something to do with magic. Worry not, those links do you no harm.

Those are the only hints I can offer you. I made this mod in the way to make people think a bit when they have to decide at some points. If you are too worried to use links, then spend your gold in a different place.

I'm sorry, I meant no offense, I just like being in control of my game.

I am not offensed, it's ok, but it pains me that people rather send me tons of messeges instead of trying considering as a riddle. I just wanted it to be part of the storym, a mystery. It was to make people think about the nature of each Colour instead of offering all the info so players could make perfect stats. It was supposed to be like picking a Colour which is closest to your character and now it's becoming more like a opportunity to make a tank...
Ah, do as you wish. Answers are in the walkthrough thread. Just use Google-translated CoB walkthrough. The 3rd post in the thread, I suppose. I have no power to make players play CoI for stories, not for bonuses.

I loved the mod, I really did. It'll be part of my standard install package from now on.. but a game is one of the few things in life I have the ability to control, down to the minutest detail (thank you ShadowKeeper) so... I like having that control. Can't tell off my boss, but I can make damned sure my BG2 character is awesome!

...I'm super lame...

I really, really liked the mod. I'm doing Innershade now and am soon to move on to White Queen. I didn't install Yvette, because I always romance Jaheira. Like I said, I'm lame. Been playing this game for 10 years, like most of us, and I always play a Sorceror and romance Jaheira.

Remember - if you can win in game, you can win in RL, too.
And now off to your game, Sayne, and have some fun.
