Imoen Romace is diffferent thing, there's no reason to use v2. V2 is newly coded v1 and has nearly same content but it was wriiten for BG2 EE (aka Evil Engine) and it breaks BGT (it overwrites files instead of patching) as Leonardo mentions in BWP pdf-file.

Besides ToB part isn't written yet. Israel Blargh is writing it at the moment (after Kat dropped out) but i don't know when he finishes writing ToB part. Imoen Romance forum is here.

BWS supports all games, including BG(2):EE. Dropping support for EE mods should be out of the question in my opinion, at least in EE branch.

Imoen romance v2 overwrites? :o

Will look at that this weekend. I'd love to know more about the problems with v2 if there are posts about it :P

I'll try to talk to Leonardo about dtopping the older NeJ's in favour of v694 until v7 is out.

@BWS Peeps: You can remove the Vecna v24 text overhaul becuase it's now in the BWPfixpack :)

After going through the latest install, I've only gotten 1 error. Also, I have one question. The question is first: Where is Breagar? He is not even selectable as an NPC mod option.

The error is with Enhanced Sendai's Enclave. All of the other components of Sword Coast Stratagems get installed except that one. Here is the relevant section of the install log:

Spoiler

I've also attached Setup Stratagems.debug all zipped up. Should I care about this too much? I guess I could reinstall again in a few years when I finally get to Throne of Bhaal.

Some mod messed up mage16c.CRE, before SCS.
You can do change-log on that file, if you want to found out what.

@Vlad Hopefully I am luckier with my son. He's only 3 now and needs to learn how to read first :)

And yeup I definitely feel how much time content creation takes. Even writing 1 dialogue takes awhile. Having a limited scope helps though.

I look forward to your third way. To kill off those thieves and vampires early would be nice. Bye Bodhi! *smashes her with mace of destruction*

I'm against this, as I don't see it as fix. I think it should stay optional.
From mods readme:
"This mod overhauls the majority of the original story with a more straight-forward, more lore-friendly, and far more grammatically correct story."

It only changes the mod's english text to be better understandable and have proper punctuation

No gameplay changes at all. Are you sure you want me to remove it? :P

Don't get me wrong. I use text overhaul in my game.

I, just, don't think it should be forced on player instead of original text, no matter how "bad" it is, without original author approval.

I wouldn't want to somebody rewrite my mod and present it like original, which Klatu hasn't done (he made mod to add on Vecna).

But if you include it in BWFixpack, it would be forced on everybody who uses BWS & BWP.

It is just my opinion.

I tend to agree with Mad Mate.  Players aren't forced to use Dudleyfixes or Balderdash or BG2Fixpack (even though it might be a good idea in some cases).  It would be nice to know what these text fixes are (if they really are fixes).

The expert version of this BWP that I installed yesterday has more Icewind Dale in it. Previously in 14.1 I was done with the Never-ending Journey at the end of the Severed Hand. Now I am being teleported to Dorn's Deep and offered a chance to fight through everything.

Previously many people who were following my Let's Play were saying that if I left Icewind Dale too early I would trigger the end of the world, and Hrothgar talked about it quite extensively when I first got access to the portal back to Irenicus' dungeon. This time, though, there was no big speech. Is it no longer the case that I will cause the end of the world by traveling through the portal again? I don't even know what to do in Dorn's Deep.

Vlad is a good guy!  He is not ready to release NeJ 3 to the public.   If I understand correctly he still sees it as in development (I have been away for awhile).  Yes, We (and that includes me) think it would get better tested with a mass release.  That is not the way Vlad works (I have worked with him in the past), he seems to like to work with a small group giving clear feedback on the mod.  Once it is released he tolerates those who adds many other mods.  A BWS does unbalance the game (in the Nashkel Mine I just got +4 Plate in my playthrough), I still very much want to play a Mega mod.

I know NeJ3 will be good when it is released.

I started to upload my walkthrough in BGT + TS + NeJ3. It will take some time to walk through the game though.

The first part is here:

Sorry  :crying:  if you got that impression that i was talking about dropping EEs (aka Evil Engine :P ) from BWS that wasn't what meant or want. I meant that Imoen Romance v2 (though don't know about new v2.5) isn't compatible with BGT.

Thanks draconian :new_thumbs: , i always mean BWP. I don't use or know anything about BWS in BG games.

CHARNAMEs excellent adventures in the world of BWP expert-install here

Thanks to Leonardo Watson for making this possible

[EDIT] By the way, my kids have never liked BG-BG2. They prefer Skyrim, Witcher and even Minecraft. My son said that BG is old, ugly, boring, lacks reality feeling and a lot of text to read. :) I guess it will be worse with time, so don't expect much that your kids and other kids will ever play this game or mods (unless you force them to play LOL).

Actually, one of the most popular games released this year was Pillars of Eternity, a game similar with BG is some ways, with "a lot of text to read" :) . Also other popular examples are Divinity Original Sin, and Wasteland 2, both highly successful, released at the end of 2014. So kids still like these kind of games, no matter if they have a lot of text :)

Somehow I completely forgot to mention that a few days ago BWS has been updated.
The short changelog:
  • Added context menu option to visit a mods download link manually from the Selection screen (thanks to Tzarnal).
  • Updated many modlinks (thanks to Lollorian).
  • Updated BWP selection (fits IP 15.3, TP 15.1) and IWD1EE selection.
  • Added new mods (A Frosty Journey: The IWDEE Kitpack v2.7, Area Patcher ALPHA 4, Ascension script fix v1.1, Fixed Tanar'ri and Wyvern v2, Foundling: Between the Shades beta 1, House Rules for IWDEE v1.1, L'ogre et le gnome v2, Minor NPC Portraits for IWDEE v1.4, No Restrictions v1 (for IWDEE only), Runescarred Berserker v1.0 (for IWDEE only), Tome and Blood v0.5 beta (for IWD1EE only), Warlock v1.0 (for IWDEE only), WTP Familiars v1.4).
And I have a question: whether to return the old Imoen Romance for BWP (BG2EE continue to use the new version)?
As I understand IR v1.202 is compatible with BGT, but is not compatible with Imoen Friendship. And IR v2.5 is compatible with Imoen Friendship, but incompatible with BGT. It's right? If so, how best to proceed?

Just a quick note about Area Patcher ALPHA 4:

Do not "install" component 2000; does not work as expected and it is not needed.
