The mod introduces a new companion for BG1 - Verr'Sza, an evil rakshasa hunter. He may join your group in early BG1EE and stay with the group until the very end of Siege of Dragonspear expansion. He may be recruited in one of the rooms within the Friendly Arm Inn, but you must free him from a certain state first. He starts at 3rd level, so if you prefer having team members on more or less similar levels, it may be a good idea not to recruit him right after leaving Candlekeep.

The mod includes some go-and-kill quests, as well as a romance for both male and female characters (the only condition is not being of Lawful Good alignment). Although it's technically a romance, Verr'Sza isn't a very romantic character. It's more a matter of making him respect you and not trying to bind him in any way. He shouldn't be compared to Dorn, though. He may be protective in his twisted and blunt way.

Note that the mod may include language considered blunt or inappropriate for kids.

Mod was designed to work on EE. Never tried it on Tutu or BGT.
Consider this an open beta. There may still be some bugs.


original campaign:

  • ~15 non-romantic talks (5 timered / timer-related talks; 10 situational talks)
  • ~11 romantic talks (mostly timered / timer-related talks)
  • at least 1 banter talk with every NPC, including EE NPCs (Neera, Dorn, Rasaad, Baeloth)
  • Some additional information and flirts available via the PIDs (player initiated dialogues)
  • some interjections

Siege of Dragonspear DLC:

  • ~6 non-romantic talks (3 timered / timer-related talks; 3 situational talks)
  • ~4 romantic talks (timered / timer-related talks / situational) + an "epilogue" talk
  • additional romantic content available through a 3rd character (available in Bhaalspawn's camps; ~5 talks)
  • Thrix the Profane reaction
  • few "head string" talks with other NPCs

The mod includes crossmod talks with Sirene NPC.

NOTE ON THE ROMANCE: If you want to romance Verr'Sza, you must suggest closure on your own. You may do it during one of the friend talks or in a "drunk talk". To trigger a drunk talk, make sure Verr'Sza is really drunk. He will start a talk then in which you may "dare" him.

I replied you already on Beamdog's forum. Please, stick to one place. As I said, there is no need to bombard me in every possible way and sending additional PMs and posting comments on my wall at Beamdog's boards is already going a bit too far.

Hey! After a long time Verr'Sza is finally updated! Great thanks to Artemius_I who helped me with almost everything and to Gwendolyne who helped me with traification of the mod! :) To make the mod work better, it has been rebuild in more than one place, yet we hope to have spotted every possible problem it could have caused.

Note that in this version, room in which you meet Verr at the Friendly Arm Inn has changed. It was because the same room was used by one of the components in RE for BG1. Thanks Mirandel for the notice!


Mod has no longer BETA notice and now hits official v1.0 version.

Here is the list of changes:
-Changed SoD death variable to the one used in OC
-Upgraded SoD banter scripts
-Added new SoD banters
-Kit rework to make the NPC more useful
-Changed innitial meeting (different room)
-NPC joins with level 2 (instead of 3)
-If NPC is joined later, he will gain additional experience to better match party level (SoD style)
-Changed Gorion burial lines to make them work better with BG1 NPC Project
-Reputation fix: removed breaking point for Verr'Sza
-Nightmare mode fix: Verr'Sza should be ignored by nightmare mode
-Crossmod: new crossmod talks (2 banters with Aura, 2 banters with Drake, 1 banter with White)

If some of you think that the update is here because Verr BG2 is coming (to town)... then I may tell you that all talks were writen and the mod is now being proofread and tested! Another moment may be needed for it to be released, though.

Dear Players!

It's been so many years since I released my first project. And I just couldn't stop there. I would keep releasing new projects and while it takes more time these days, I still keep providing you new mods. I just like it. In the same time, my mods are all over different sites and sometimes it's hard to get everyone informed about new releases, new updates, remember about all the threads... I also like trying new things. Because of that, I've decided to centralize my work. That means I am moving almost all my mods to... well, a brand new place: Weasel Mods Forums.

There are some project I won't move, though: like those that are part of something bigger than just me. Like projects I released as a part of NPC IEP mods (Valygar Friendship, Minsc Friendship, etc.) or Yoshimo's Remorse I released along with jmaeq.

I hope you'll enjoy the new place. Perhaps it's not as modern, some solutions may seem a bit outdated, but... I just hope the new site will serve the purpose and that you'll find it at least "ok". Ill be honest: this kinda sucks because I cannot imagine a human being that, in the year of our lord twentieth twice, will go to a bespoke website tailored to one guys mods. Like its cute and all that you want to centralize but the internet as a movement kinda moved past making your own corner of the internet with... I wanna say death of geocities?

What I mean is, youre gonna see a drop in downloads so big that that such reduction has only been prior seen at last weeks dow jones.

While I don't really want to change Verr'sza's thread into something really else, but this once...


Almost all my mods are now here, at SHS, but we all now the server is damaged. Even some badges are not showing properly. Also, many of my mods will never get a full hosting here, as they were already rejected years ago. My Wilson forum is broken and old threads disappeared in the project's subforum.


Also, I am kinda tired with modding somtimes, but I still have some mods that will still be released. But I am tired with delaying updates because server has issues, then going to Beamdog forums, because some of my IWD mods are only there, and then jumping to yet another place to update some old files and descriptions. I preffer to have just one place as... well, I'm kinda tired. And I no longer want to ask for submissions to make things public. There were times I waited 6 months to get an answer if my mod is good enough to get accepted or not.


So sorry, but I really prefer to releasing new stuff, updating, instead of focusing on sending all kind of requests etc. But I hope that even though you are not a fan of it, you will enjoy the new download place :)
