I have to say that the sapient shaft spell is now one of my favorites. I always use it now, usually 3 at once and hastened. Not only are they very effective, but with my weird dialog of "why, thank you, I think you're pretty splendid yourself!" whenever they are fighting is pretty funny. The upgrading is cool, as well. Thanks for the imagination put into this spell. It is both amusing and useful. I think you should work in making role-playing games and get paid for it. Or do you? If not, you certainly should! : )
Oh, (sheepishly) I still haven't finished a game with Hub yet, but I will. I'll be sure to let you know how I liked it when I see how it all ends for the lovable Veggie Man.

Thank you. :)

No, I don't work with creating roleplaying games, and I don't think I'd want to, either. ;)

Just finished SoA with him and just started ToB. I loved the voicing and the banters though it would be nice to see him speak a bit more. (Or sing...!) His comment at the start of the Irenicus Hell battle was priceless!

Couple of things - I was pretty nice to him but he didn't talk much abut cooking with my PC. I was playing a paladin this time - could it be that Hubs doesn't so much like the lawful good types?

I chose the Village Druid kit which was good enough (in this game I had Jaheira as well, but no cleric, so Hubs was my main healer) though I was somewhat surprised I didn't get the option to have him fight Faldorn in the Grove.
Also, as the poster above says, no HLAs?

I gather he's supposed to have some Volo dialogue in Saradush as well but nothing came up.

Would really like to see a small expansion for his (a few more banters, some HLAs, and chance to challenge Faldorn) as he's otherwise a great character. Enjoyed him very much.

Glad you like it, Cal. :) There's an expansion in the works, but due to some coding issues we haven't been able to get it out yet. Your comments do put it higher up on my to-do list, though. :)

Great, glad to hear it.
I've also noticed (now I'm in ToB) that he AI does go a bit whacko, as someone else posted. Even if you turn AI off, he'll just attack targets in the area and ignore any instructions to heal party members or cast any other druid spells. (A bit annoying as he's my main healer, but at least I have Jaheira for back-up). I've not played the Valen mod but a review I read said she ran off to attack things even with AI off - don't know if this is at all relevant but sounds like she has a similar AI (which is quite amusing when you think about it - humble vegetable merchant goes postal!)

Best beta NPC ever!
Best animal sodomy song ever!
Best soup recipe ever!
When Hubelput killed Kangaxx the Demilich, we had to take a day off from the game to celebrate.

Excelsior!

Having played a little with this NPC, I have to wholeheartedly voice my approval. I strongly agree with the concept, especially. There are many NPC mods out there, but Hublepot is one of the few that actually seem real to me. He keeps me entertained, and doesn't ever do things that make me want to Ctl-Y (I've been known to do that to my NPC's). Keep up the great work!
