It's sort of a mod idea that needs your help.

Uhm, actually if you read the reference I collect the ideas for PIDs for an original BioWARE NPC, called Shar-Teel who is well-known for despising men. A BG1 male character who is most likely to hold similar attitude toward women is Eldoth, but his character Czar wrote the PID's without soliciting the ideas and not dwelling on this particular facet of the character. :)

I'd like to notice that Shat Teel is evil, so the title of the thread is irrevelant to its contents.
Because it's titled "Men bashing for a good cause", it can be interpreted as an attack on men B) .

Except that the cause is modding, which we all presumably like since that's ostensibly why we're here. Gathering ideas for our modding pleasure is probably what is meant as a "good cause," the subject of the mod itself notwithstanding.

'for a good cause' in the title of this post stands for 'in this case bashing males is going to serve character development'. I believe that the link have a detailed explanation of what I am looking for and why. If anyone choses to be offended by either Shar-Teel's character or my writing for her, I can't help it. Yes, I will bash males in Shar-Teel's dialogues. A LOT. No, I do not share her opinion that all men are pathetic, stupid, ignorant, weak or just slime. I do not discriminate against stupidity, ignorance etc based on gender. Negative qualities are present in all humans and vary from individual to individual.

Heh.
Shar-Teel (along with Safana, Montaron, Xzar, Tiax, Kagain, Viconia, Eldoth, Minsc, Ajantis, Quayle, Branwen and Faldorn) is one of the few BG1 NPCs that I really hate.
I hope that you will add some nasty responses to her sexist statements (and to any unpleasant behaviors of NPCs).
I think that the best method of dealing with an offending NPC is gutting her/him with a blunt razor  .

There are 25 NPCs in BG1. You have listed 13. 50% hate rate = not good :( O, well. One of my ambitions with BG1NPC was always that the project will make players interested in the NPCs that they previously dismissed or disliked.

There are a number of options in Shar-Teel's romance for PC to express his outrage/try to bully her/etc. But I think I like the idea of adding a unisex PID option for a more agressive PC. Though I do not think that the outcome will be bloodless if PC choses it.

However, bashing, insulting or picking on a particular NPC was always something we studiously tried to avoid in BG1NPC. Our goal is not to satisfy an irrate/annoyed player but to provide believable character development.

Appologies accepted. Now, Aristothenes, unless you are striving to provide me with a sample of male behaivor that Shar-Teel and a female PC might discuss at length in a PID I would ask you to move your material into private correspondence.

Anyone looking for the more offensive than helpful posts in this thread can find them here. That "discussion" (and I use the phrase loosely) is not to be continued here :).

This might be a silly question, but...what is a "PID"?

Player Initiated Dialogue - as opposite to 'flirts' which is a special case of PID with has romantic implications

Technically there is nothing that tells apart a romance from any npc/pc initiated dialogue.
Why the distinction then?

Purely aesthetic, so there will be no confusion between 'Kiss your lover on the lips' and ask Shar-Teel to give her opinion on men.
