Version 9 of BG1NPC Banters is now available for BGT-Weidu. You will find it in the BGT-Weidu directory on TheWizard's mirror sites. As I have already mentioned over on the G3 site, please post all problems, comments, and high praises here in this forum instead of bugging them at G3. Try to limit the posting to just one or two main topics gang, these guys don't need to get swamped with issues that don't pertain to BGT-Weidu.

BG1NPC Banters version 9 will only work with BGT-Weidu, not with BGT-BP (thus the reason I am posting this here instead of there). If also installing DSotSC w/o NTotSC, install BG1NPC after installing those mods. It can be installed before or after BoneHill and it can be installed before or after Yacomo's Wordmap.

I have not done a massive bug hunt on this. It installs. Basically I just fixed their dialog pointers so the files work with BGT-Weidu. The banters should be exactly the same as in the Tutu version.

Until further testing, I would recommend that you do not install the BG2NPC banter pack until after you are in Jon's dungeon. While the two mods should not step on each other, I really don't know yet. That is my next little project.

That was easy. Okay, the BanterPack for SoA/ToB should be fine with the BG1NPC BanterPack. The only possible issue I see is that Minsc has a banter with Imoen about being rescued and it could happen while still in BG1/BGT. So perhaps some other condition besides just being > chapter 1 would work to eliminate this possible dialog.

Otherwise, most of the banters are with the new NPCs and since they aren't in the BGT party, those banters won't trigger. Banters between the common NPCs (Minsc, Viconia, Jaheira, etc) have enough conditions set that I don't see how they could trigger in BG1/BGT.

Crap, that's because I forgot to update the text on the download page (fixed)--the downloads themselves are version 10, and have been since the release on Monday.

Nice, but I started this project on Friday night. By Monday, it was installing and working. It may be awhile before I want to look at ~_NPC~ anytime soon.

Then again if anyone needs the lastest and greates BG1NPC they can always download TUTU. I mean it isn't that big and doesn't take that long to install. People just should be happy that the platform converterer (yeah I know that isn't a word!) SirBillyBob does it for us at all. So like SirBillyBod has said it should be good enough that we have the conversion at all. But who am I to talk. I haven't downloaded any of the mods yet. I don't think I will until everything is said and done.

I actually meant it was Ascension64 who was slightly behind the times (with his "We shall wait for the G3 version of 10 before we make it" comment), not Sir BillyBob :).

Is the BG1NPC Banters for BGT-Weidu the file labelled BG1NPC-BGT-v2.exe?

The link made no mention of it being the BGT-Weidu compatible version. I wanted to be sure I got the right one before I commited to trying to install it.

Download the file BG1NPC4BGT-Weidu-v9.rar from the BGT-WeiDU folder.

As in the readme of BG1NPC, install them first. Both update some dialogs (Taerom - blacksmith, Lathander cleric, and one or two others) by way of replacing the whole dialog file. I know it isn't the best solution but it is what I did at the time.

BG1NPC updates the dialogs the better way and so, if you install it first, DSotSC will replace the updates from BG1NPC. Also, it is usually better to install bigger mods before smaller mods. BG1NPC is very small and doesn't modify any areas. DSotSC/NTotSC are both large mods that edit all sorts of areas.

Well, in the 'replacing' case, BG1NPCBGT will BREAK some of the features in BGT-WeiDU, especially journals.

Well, if you can provide me with a list of which dialogues are replaced as such...don't worry it about it, really. Who is the Lathander cleric? Is he the one in/next to Beregost? I think he accepts Coran's wyvern head and updates the journal in that way.

Oh I see. Then it is really DSotSC/NTotSC that are giving you problems. Yes, the cleric is the guy outside Beregost. NTotSC adds some dialogs with him if Will is in the party. Right now, the dialog is still the original from BGT-BP's version of NTotSC. I guess I need to pull in your version and add Will's dialogs to it.

What I need to try is to add the dialog branches like BG1NPC does so I don't change what you have as a base. They use the ADD_TRANS_ACTION, REPLACE_STATE_TRIGGER, and ADD_TRANS_TRIGGER commands. If the Weidu documentation was actually written for people new to these commands instead of written for someone who already uses them, I might be able to fight out the best way to update his dialog. I will work on it this weekend.
