Hello, folks. I have a question I would like to ask, but I am not sure who is goning to answer this. I guess posting this question here is appropriate. If not, Please let me know.

The thing I want to ask is about translation. I have not seen any traslation version of TDD, TS, or SoS. Does anyone know how to translate and who else I should contact with this issue. And also, it does not seem to be easy job because those mods are big, and use other types of installation and programming methods from common Weidu mods in which you can easily translate lines of tra files in language directory or whatever the author names.

I'm not sure how long it is going to take, but I just want to do it for fun and for people in my country which is Korea because even though those mods are such great ones and I would like share my enjoyments with them, most of them just get annoyed by reading English dialogs for a period of time, and others such as junior high school students can read English very well. I'm almost done with translating BGT because it does not require me to do a lot of works, and I'm looking for another good ones. For your information, I translated BG1 and Totsc into Korean by myself just for people for free, and work with the company that made Korean version of BG2 and ToB. I just love BG series and this is the only game I have played because I'm kind of old Trpg player and I believe the BG series is the most fantastic Crpg game which implements almost all details of Trpg souls and enjoyments. So there is Korean version of BG1, and BG2 including Totsc and Tob. Another one that need to be considered is that Korean writing system is based on its own alphabet which is very different from that of English or other European languages. Thus, if those mods use hard-coded d files or something in weidu formats, I won't be able to make it easily.

If there is any chance that the author, I believe King Diamond if he is ok to be called the author, tells me how I start this task, please let me know.

2nd. I'll try to "traify" CtB, TS-BP, TDD and SoS and post all necessary strings to translate here.
It will be useful to anybody who wants to make translations.

Yes, it's time to make them multilingual!

P.S. It'll take some time 'cos I'm too busy right now.... Just wait a little. I've almost made that for TS already....

Ahem, you could have sent me a pm or posted a proper topic before going on with the survey, that way i wouldn't wasted my time on doing the same thing at the same time.. , but oh well, its really my fault for no inmediatly replied you on the first time, so please accept my apologies.

I wanna make turkish translation but original game doesnt have turkish version. Is it possible? If so is the below procedure correct for converting it?

1- Make a full install of the BG2+TOB+patch then translate the dialog.tlk strings
2- Translate tra files of mods.

And do i need to translate dialog.tlk of BG1 for BGT-WEIDU?

Just try to translate few strings that you know where to look at in game and see if it will work and the game displays the proper national characters. If so - your procedure is correct And you need to translate BG1 for BGT as well.
