I thought it was a fun game. Won't run on my little notebook but it was great on my PC. Next to CRPGs, fighter pilot games are among my favorites. There's something about being able to fly, go fast, and shoot people that just makes me smile.

Anyway, I got up to the battle in the main campaign where you have to protect the Bastion from the Taratus ( I think that was the name of the ship). But in the end, the Bastion gets blown up and I lose the game. I've tried putting everything I have towards that stupid ship. Any recommendations on what kind of fighter to use and/or strategies that worked for you?

Bloody awesome game! Havn't played it in years though :-(

If I remember correctly, I got stuck on the same mission as you. Did fine on it to start with but I just can't stop their capital/cruiser ship from crashing into the Bastion.

Have you played Freelance?

I played this a couple of months ago. Choose a fast ship to intercept those bombers (especially the shaitans), when they jump into the system. If I remember correctly, you don't need to take down the Tantulus.

Also take a look at the (open source) Freespace 2. You can download it for free.
